Max Kellerman's antics forced this issue about Pac vs Sergio. He forced it, by talking about an incredible LW/WW fighter who beat up on 165 lb Margarito two weeks ago and suggesting this was a possibility for Sergio. I don't like the idea, Sergio is the MW champ! Middleweight, as in one of the most celebrated divisions in boxing! You want to play at MW, then fight at MW!
Let's make it clear, Sergio:
A) Didn't call out Pac. Pundits, media and fans are forcing the issue, not him. His promoter straight out called it a mismatch.
B) Made it clear he would not go below his best form (156-157lbs)
Sergio needs to unify the MW division, earn his $$$ fighting Pirog, Sturm, whomever is a MW champ. When was the last time we saw this? It would mean alot more to boxing than another ****** catch weight fight.
Enough with catch weights already!
