I don't think the movie actually goes into the Gatti fights. It's more about the relationship with his half-brother.

Robinson? I don't think moviegoers want to watch a boxer beat his wife so often and badly that he causes her to have 5 miscarrages. Go watch s snuff film or somthing if thats your thing.

We already have Raging Bull if we want to see a depressing movie about a boxer who beats up his wife. Actually, Jake in the movie is a Saint compared to how he describes himself in his book.

he is right u kno??? there are numerous non white boxers with compelling stories. guys like omar henry, u have guys like salvador sanchez, carlos monzon(his life story would be ****ing epic), other guys like jack johnson, i mean come one guys, dont shoot him down. he has a very good point. micky ward's story isnt the best out there even if u consider his brothers issues(which i did see the docu on).
