Pacquiao said he's willing to fight Martinez.

Martinez says Pacquiao is too small.

If Martinez is willing to drop to 147 then I have no doubt this fight will happen. Pacquiao gets to call the shots cuz hes the bigger draw. This is how boxing works. If Martinez says no theres no shortage of fighters that'll gladly fight Pacquiao at 147. Martinez aint no coward but hes simply not in the same weight class as Pac. It would be like Chad Dawson at 175 fighting Martinez at 160, it just isnt a fair fight.

155 is laughable. Martinez just weight in at 157 against Pwill. It wont kill him to make 155. Pacquiao cant weight more than 150 even if he tried. If Martinez wants to fight Pacquiao come to 147 or at a catchweight between 147 and 155. 70-30 split for Pacquiao of course.

Pacman can fight Martinez if the contract states that Martinez will not exceed 160lbs middle weight limit when he enters the ring!!!

It could be a fair match-up at exactly 160lbs on fight night regardless of their size difference!

manny cant beat martinez, of that im convinced. hes like a bigger faster vesion of jmm. all wrong for manny. not a good fight at all and manny doesnt deserved to be embarrassed in a fight where hes clearly mismatched anyways.

Second that. There is all this talk about Martinez and a lack of opponents, since Pac is too small and Floyd is on vacation, but I haven't read anything about a possible Martinez vs. Kirkland?!?! Anyone care to comment why?

Pac can make 154. He was weighing that before the clottey fight. He just came in light for Margarito as a ploy so that he could go back down to welter without ppl demanding him to fight the Williams-Martinez winner. He had an easy big opponent in Marg and knew he would get credit for it & didnt have to bother to bulk up because Marg isnt a power puncher. Some ppl ate it up also.

It wouldn't be fair. Pac simply can't go up in weight that easily anymore. If he does his speed is affected, they said it themselves. Although Pac dominates his past opponents, the fact is he gets hurt. He was even marked and bruised up against Clottey!!! I'd hate to see what Martinez, being too fast, too big, too active, too much movement, too accurate, and (as we witnessed on Saturday) too goddamn explosive, would do to Pacquiao. It doesn't need to happen.

Many will alugh now. But as usual, many will eat crow as Pacquiao will again annihilate Martinez. Let the fight on. Let the weigh-in at fight night at 155 lbs. Martinez will be a minced meat if that happens. No one will beat Pacquiao at this time.

How predictable. When Manny and Roach got the catchweight for the Cotto fight, I joked that he would win two or three more division titles by catchweights. Now he wants another division at 150 when he is the 154 pound champ. Sometimes you just call it.

Martinez would be a great fight, but they know that Martinez is not comfortable at 154 anymore. Just like Cotto was barely making 147 (so the weight was set to 145) and Margarito had to take diet pills to make weight to fight Pacquiao.

Pacman does not need to go up in weight to make 160lbs.....he could stay at his comfortable 147-148 lbs at fight night......

IT is Martinez who should not exceed the 160lbs middleweight limit at fight night when he steps on the ring....

If the contract states that the weight limit is exactly not to exceed at 160 lbs for Martinez when he enters the ring I'm sure Pacman would gladly agree to this and the fight can be made.

People give Floyd crap for fighting smaller fighters at higher weights, but Manny is fighting bigger fighters at lighter weights. What is a greater advantage? Draining your opponent or fighting someone a bit smaller?

It's a decent question.
