ESPN: Manny Pacquiao Planning Retirement in 3 Years

MANILA, Philippines -- Manny Pacquiao says he plans to retire in three years and doesn't see himself boxing beyond the age 35.

The boxing champion also told a news conference in Manila he's willing to fight Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez again but that the match would probably not excite fans. He sounded doubtful himself, saying "I would not watch Pacquiao vs. Marquez."

Congressman Pacquiao was speaking in the Philippine House of Representatives on Monday, where he received the highest medal for the second time following his latest victory over Antonio Margarito.

Good. I was worried he'd retire sooner. 3 years is plenty of time for some solid fights.

Now make us happy, Manny, by not fighting Mosley.

I predict Floyd will agree to fight him in 3 years when Manny is about to bow out...then Floyd will accuse him of ducking

Manny's been fighting twice a year, so let him fight Mosley now. Better to fight him now (even tho he's shot) than later. So if Manny sticks to fighting twice a year, that leaves him with 5 more fights after Mosley

I knew it and told you guys. No way does a guy get to a point to where every fight is a ppv that will ink him a multi-million dollar payday regardless of the opponent, retire as soon as he has reached the top of the sport.

He probably won't retire until he's forced to. That's how it always goes.
