No. Kessler won because he was able to back Froch up and punish him to the body and that's what AA must do as well. Froch isn't comfortable working off the back foot. Froch on the other hand must keep moving and keep the initiative. Keep AA at a distance while using his foot-long reach advantage to work AA over with the underrated jab of his.

Froch's problem is defense. AA has some sick power that we know he carries untill the very end.

I'm not optimistic. No improvement so far with the eye. We might have seen the last of the viking warrior.

I'm picking Abraham by TKO/KO mid-fight. It's entirely possible Froch wins this fight but in order to do so he's going to need help from Abraham in the form of inactivity. I believe Abraham will still be the slow stalker we all know him to be but I think he's going to be a little busier this time around. I give Abraham the advantage in strength/power, speed, defense, and accuracy. Froch's best defense is his chin and that'll be put to the test early I think and will also be his undoing. If he comes in with his hands down against Abraham, he's going to pay for it.

I'm curious as to who everyone is routing for? I like both fighters but Abraham is my favorite active fighter so I'm routing for him in this. It should be a war though!

What nonsense. Kessler beat Froch by keeping him on the backfoot, punishing his body, and busting him up whenever he got him against the ropes. Froch wasn't allowed to get into a rhythm in the early going and by the mid-rounds the bodyshots were already taking their toll on his usually frenetic workrate. He was forced to throw shots going backwards (which he did surprisingly well, to his credit) but it was Kessler who was landing the majority of damaging and eye-catching punches, including that staggering short cross in the eighth, and generally bullying Froch about the ring. Froch had his moments, as he always does, but I'm not going to say he won that fight when he clearly didn't.

Awesome fight, by the way, and still my candidate for FOTY.

I'll be rooting for Froch, though I like AA as well and wouldn't be upset or surprised if he won.

I'm still not able to pick a winner, though I've thought about the various permutations often enough. I think Froch's caginess and natural intelligence is being undervalued though. My guess is he'll use his jab early on to force Abraham's guard up then **** him hard to the body and either leap out again or try to tie Abraham up and rabbit punch him. This is probably going to be a dirty fight, and I think Froch has trained for that. If Abraham turns away to complain to the ref it wouldn't surprise me if Froch tries to land a sneaky one on him, anything to disrupt or upset Abraham's mindset. Providing he isn't warned about "low-blows" (Abraham does have a propensity for hoisting his shorts up high, as Froch mentioned in the last Fight Camp episode) then the fight becomes very interesting in the later rounds, and I'd definitely favour Froch to gut out a decision. If Abraham is allowed to get into a rhythm however, then I see it being very difficult for Froch to turn the tide. Froch has been hurt in every single one of his last four fights, and Abraham is by far the hardest hitter of the lot. If Froch sticks his chin up in the air like he's done in the past, then Abraham's gonna take it off. Really wouldn't want to bet on it either way though. There are far too many unknowns to make a decent prediction, IMO.

That sucks a big one. Kessler was a great fighter and one of the true warriors of the sport.
