I agree. Would be better if Pac fought Berto than Mosley.

all, Pac didn't beat Mayweather for the spot. I thought that is
how it goes? One fighter has to beat another to get their
slot? Floyd and Pac are in teh same division and Pac didn't
beat Floyd. 2nd, Pac fought and beat 2 fighters Floyd already
beat and now their going for a 3rd fighter Floyd exposed? Pac
ain't no P4P#1. Pac puts on a good show and that's why people
love him so much. Floyd ain't P4P#1 either because he ain't
fighting but I definitely put him over Pacquaio. Martinez trumps
both of them hands down. He is the rightful owner of the P4P#1
if that is the case because Martinez is taking it back to the ol
school. Fighting stiffer comp and winning impressively.
I couldn't have said it better I think it's fun finally having three guys that are in this discussion. Boxing is having a good month so far.

Martinez vs Ward (I won't mind a catchweight)

        Pac vs Devon/Bradley

        Karceno vs Mr. blingstar

        Ellie Sechback vs JRsportsbrief

        my dream matches right there

If Sergio was the same size with Kelly Pavlik's skill set I'd take Manny by Decision but Sergio moves and doesn't really ever get hit cleanly. If you noticed he was knocked down by Pwill and Pavlik more because he was off balance not because he got hit square on the chin, in addition he's a southpaw so Manny would have to consistently use the right hand which is good but it partially negates his best weapon that straight left. Also Martinez chin seems solid when he took risks and was hit he was never hurt by two big guys (especially Pavlik) that have plus power as middleweights. Over 154 Martinez should be favored heavily, if Sergio is ****** enough to drain himself I see Manny winning a decision as Sergio would gas out after a couple of rounds. If they were the same size it would be a war that I'd probably give to manny because he throws better combinations and more punches. One thing that Manny does have is that even though Martinez has the fastest hands and feet at 154 and up through heavyweight, he is not in the same class with pac. Pac is on another level from anybody.
Good post. I don't agree with everything though. Pac is a LW or a LWW imo, while Sergio is a MW. He was 176lbs 1 month before this fight, Pac was 146. = Sergio was more then 20% heavier. 176*1,2 = 211 which is about what Haye's weighing.

Since Martinez drops water for the weigh-in and Pac eats breakfast, lunch etc and doesn't drop his water at all I think that comparing weigh-in weights isn't fair. 1 month out weights probably isn't fair either, but I think Bute is closer to Sergio's size then Sergio to Manny's.

This is a hard thing to quantify but you're probably right. Then again what if Martinez gains alot of weight cuz he's out partying between fights (I wouldn't blame him he probably pulls so much ass) while Pac is always physically active running and playing sports. It's definitely a size mismatch.

In that logic, it would be fair to say they don't want to fight each other.

Though I would like to see them clash, 155 lbs is unattainable by Manny. Being the bigger man, Sergio should go down to Manny's max weight which is below 150 lbs. if he wants to fight Manny which he made it clear he wouldn't. So that's that.

I am hoping someday, Manny will be able to go up in weight without loosing speed as he did in the past. But I think he had reached his max weight limit without loosing speed.

Sergio Martinez did what Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito
should have done and that's not fight at no catchweight.
Was obvious why they did it ($) but shouldn't put your
health last. Pac won't fight Martinez because Martinez
is much better than Pacquiao but that doesn't take away
the fact that Manny has Martinez's 154 title he vacated.
Why would Pac knowing he is too small for 154, fight there
for a title against a bigger, but lesser opponent? Oh, I
know...... It's because Pac wanted to pad his legacy with
                a 8th, vacated, catchweight title.

I still have Floyd at #1 P4P until further notice. Floyd still has wins over the #2 and #3 P4P. The Williams win was huge and if Floyd doesn't accept the challenge Martinez will be #1. It's really hard for me to put Manny @ #3 cause I have never seen such BS in all my years as a fan. Manny is exciting but no where near the best to me. Get's hit far too easy and only his miracle juice allows him to stay in there.

Martinez and Floyd beats Pac down. Too accurate, technical
and defensive. It's funny how Pac fans say Manny is too small
to take on Martinez and prior Margarito and the catchweight is
for Pac because he is at a disadvantage size wise BUT forget that
Floyd fought Oscar at the legit weight of 154 (For his title) and
he only weighed 148 on fight night. How can anyone put Manny
over Floyd, when Manny can't even fight for all his titles at the
                    full weight limit?

I put Martinez over Floyd because Floyd is not
fighting and Martinez is beating elite guys impressively.
                    Floyd needs to keep fighting.

Manny should not fight Berto. Berto has speed and that is it. Berto is not technically skilled or a smart fighter. Berto has no chance of winning. Even though I think they both lose Manny should fight Bradley or Alexander as they bring the most to the table skill wise. Alexander needs to tighten up his defense a lot!!!.

Manny has improved in some areas but how much we don't know because he has not faced a style like Marquez since his close fight with Marquez. So we really don't know how improved Manny actually is against they stlye that gives him the most problems.

The funniest thing of it all is I see quite a few Manny fans talking about what fighter brings the most money to the table for Manny and Koncz even said some stuff about fighters and money. Well it wasn't that long ago where Manny, Manny team and fans all kept screaming to the world Manny doesn't fight for money Manny fights for his fans and only fights the best. My how things have changed and people are singing different tunes. For the record the fans didn't want Margarito and they don't want Mosley. Neither of them are the best of anything right now.

PBF ain't agreeing to a 7 day cut-off and it seems like Manny ain't going below 7 days so no fight. I don't see a duck on either side. Just two men sticking to they guns. We as fans miss out but I can't blame them for sticking to what they believe. I personally feel like 7 days is good enough to accept and I also feel like Manny should agree to no cut-off date.
