I say it is a not a very effective technique against Manny's weird south paw style of boxing. Most of those who threw their left jab didn't take the initiative to duck after the move. That way they would have easily avoided Folyd's counter punch. The Manny of today follows up his left jab with a duck then moves from side to side. Not only that he lately has a lot of variations of follow up to that left jab of his, could be another left or a right so many to consider.


Notice that Manny's left jab is similar PBF's counter in a way that they kind of hop off the ground throwing their punch.

IMHO, The only distinct trade mark punch Floyd has is:

1. the laser straight right counter

2. and the check hook which was evident in the hatton fight.

As for Manny:

1. left jab plus a wide variation of follow ups

2. mid section right thrust.

3. right hook roll under.
