I like this fight, both styles are great to watch. Good power and ring smarts. Pirog doesn't make a lot of mistakes so Martinez would have to create more opportunites to counter...I still give the edge to Martinez

Williams and Pavlik are punching bags, overrated American bums.

The Russian Dmitry Pirog is the REAL DEAL.

        Pirog will beat Martinez.

Hell, call me crazy but I think if Winky Wright were more active, he'd match up well against Sergio Martinez. He doesn't have defensive flaws really, is really ring smart and works behind an amazing jab. too bad we'll never see a prime Winky vs Sergio. Most of the fight fans here wouldn't wanna see such a style match up anyway

pirog is slick, but he applies constant pressure. he will initiate the action.

pirog is a nightmare. at night i check under my bed to make sure pirog isn't there. he's the grim reaper.

the poll shows how people are prisoners of the moment. if the time frame was flipped to where sexy iced pwill months ago, and pirog destroyed jacobs last weekend, the voting would be the opposite.

                sexy is a a beast.

                but pirog is god.

I want to see Martinez stay at middleweight to see if he can mount a meaningful title reign. I'm sick of seeing fighters going back and forth from weight division to weight division. There's plenty of decent opponents (@mw) that Martinez could face and beat....

I really like Pirog and I think he could beat Martinez, I'm not certain though as theres still questions that need answering for Pirog but I'd be willing to put money on it. I don't think people realise Martinez is easy to hit and he was a perfect style matchup against Pwill, Martinez wouldn't be able to counter Pirog like he did Pwill. Pirog would land at will and not be getting hit much either, his switch-hitting style is also hell to figure out as Jacobs found out. He is powerful and has no chin issues we know of, I wouldn't be surprised to see Martinez KO'ed. I have no problem with Martinez hes an entertaining fighter and very fast and athletic but I believe his skills have been vastly overrated, he can be beat at middleweight.
