DLH is downhill too, if he fights good current fighters he will lose too. Vargas just needs to retire, he doesnt look/act healthy at all, and today his jaw broke, he can barly speak. Weak 10 rounder...

It was his second fight in a LONG time. AND after his performance against Joval it's a BIG PLUS considering how bad he looked in that fight. It's a good tuneup fight maybe he will need 1 more and he will be ready for the Golden Boy.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I don't see why everyone thinks he looked like garbage. He improved over 400% in comparison with his fight against Joval. This fight he fought better competition & looked better. Castillejo is not a bumb by any means. Before this fight he had won 21 of his last 22 with his only loss being DLH. I thought that Vargas fought very well considering this is only his second fight in about 3 years. He showed poise by sticking to his corners gameplan & not straying even though you could tell he wanted to try to KO Castillejo late. I think he was just getting in work which is not a bad thing. If he wanted too I'm sure he could have taken him out. How the hell did his jaw break I didn't see a right hand from Castillejo that hit flush enough to brake his jaw. I saw a few decent lefts but can't remember a right.

Vargas landed the better shots of the fight by far so how is he not agressive. The problem is people want to see the old "Gunz Blazing" Vargas but that is what got him KTFO. The old Vargas had no defense & once he gets more comfortable with this new approach by training & possibly another fight or two he will be more than a formidable opponent against DLH.

I don't think DLH is looking for an easy fight.
He wants a BIG fight and if Vargas was not all that impressive.. the fight will not be BIG

i wish that would be true. but i think out of shape delahoya wants to go out with a win in an easy big money fight with vargas.both of them will/should retire.

i'd prefer a dynamite mosley/delahoya. oscar would be forced to bring his A game.

delahoya better run to vargas and make him sign for fight. and have a claus that vargas isn't allowed to fight no one in between so he doesnt embarrass himself.
