Pavlik is a bad match for him because though Kelly is limited Paul doesn't have the attributes to take advantage of Pavlik's limitations. A come forward stationary opponent is what Pavlik wants and since Paul isn't the hardest hitter I doubt he could ko Pavlik and now question whether he could take too many flush shots from him either.

Someone like Sturm who covers up, has a lower workrate, and doesn't hit particularly hard would be better for Paul.
