    How good is Hatton.

i Just saw the Hatton Vs. Tszyu fight again, the fight was very rough, and hatton didn't seem to have a specific fight plan other than just pressuring him and holding him, just not giving tszyu any room to throw punches. tszyu ran out of juice by the 11th round not because he was hurt but because he had been leaned on the whole fight. it has to be taken into consideration that tszyu is 35 year old, if this fight had happened 6 or 7 years earlier i believe we would have seen a different outcome when tszyu was quick on his feet(although he didn't move around alot) he would have been able to counter much more effectively. I wasn't very impressed with hatton's boxing skills but was impressed with his sheer determination.

can anybody tell me what his hatton's strong points other than his aggression, does he pack a good punch in either hands, what are his chances against the likes of floyed mayweather jr.

Honestly guys.. haven't you noticed that Ricky Hatton doesn't possess any real talent?

    He has a weak jab
    He has poor footwork
He is not fleet a foot
    His chin isn't great

What he does possess is good stamina and heart.. Floyd called him the british Miguel Cotto.. I call him the british Arturo Gatti.

I doubt his career even lasts as long as Arturo.

I dunno why these British idiots overhype him too much. Perhaps, most of these British idiots does have watershed ****ty fighters and when someone like Brtish Miguel Cotto came along, they are just too idiots to know the difference. Well these idiots keep saying he beat Tszyu this and that but the ref was a big help. His swarming style won't work against the quickness of PBF or Judah.

hatton seems to be a decent fighter, but it would take more to confirm this than a win over tszyu on his off night in hatton's hometown with a hometown ref. and it was still really close up until the corner stopped it.

I've seen the Hatton vs. KT fight, and I thought it was a good fight. I like Hatton for the way he is relentless in his style, he brings the fight to you. I like the way he brawls. But I don't think he can beat Mayweather. PBF is real good. He would out fight Hatton by counter punches.

Hatton's a good fighter. He makes you fight his game, which is inside. He's kind of like Glen Johnson, as he is a tireless worker, who pressures constantly. He has good inside footwork, and uses angles once he gets up close. Floyd will have a tough time with him in the early rounds but will take a UD IMO.

Unfortunatly guys like this one above have only ever seen one Ricky Hatton fight... Yet from that one fight they're able to come up with a million reasons as to why Ricky Hatton -

              He has a weak jab
              He has poor footwork
He is not fleet a foot
His chin isn't great ... LOL!...

              Ignore these silly comments above...

I'm a Ricky Hatton fan, and I've seen his last 20-25 fights LIVE on Skysports TV... I've also been to one of his fights and I can tell you for one that the above mentioned is absolute B0LL0X!

Ricky's strong points are - His affectiveness at closing the distance... (I don't think there's another fighter in the World that is as good at closing the distance so quickly as Hatton is). Plus Hatton is a very smart fighter... He knows what his limitations are... For example, he'll never run out of steam in the ring, because he knows how to pace himself correctly. His pace of fighting is a key factor. He does have a good jab, His footwork is excellent, and Kostya Tszyu's a big puncher, he hit Hatton with some shots that would have knocked out other fighters yet Ricky just walked straight through them.

Ricky's down points... Despite him having 29KO's, I wouldn't say that Ricky is a big puncher. He hits and he hurts fighters, but he tends to knock guys out by hiting them with 200 heavy shots a round rather than one big one. + Ricky Hatton does allow himself to get a hit a little more than I would like to see. He does seem to neglect his defence from time to time just so he can get his own shots of.

p.s... Ignore that Sliquestylez, I'm pretty sure that's just one of the regulars doing a weird wind-up thing. I think it's silly when people keep arguing with him because they're only fueling him. He's got nothing intelligent to say about boxing, he's just fanning hate fumes.

ha ha ha ha ha. That ***** Hatton got away on his dirty fight plan because that sorry ass ref allowed it to happen. That ***** was Ruiz dirty and Hopkins( few years ago) dirty boxing tactics with constantly shoving pushing fouling and roughousing and Zoo deserved more respect than that but because Hatton is fighting on his hometown, that sorry ref let it slide with favoritism. In terms of boxing skills he has limited from footwork, speed, jab and he does not have that one punch that can change everything. He just constantly crowding and used dirty tactics to stay inside and do some body work which the ref will allow it if he fights in his hometown. That's why that ***** never leave home and just basically stay on his backyard so he can fight his way. That ***** has been saying he wants to fight in the states since the Phillips fight but he's too scared to get away from his comfort zone. PBF offered that ***** twice and just like I expected, he pussied himself knowing he will never have a chance with the lightning speed and quick reflexes of PBF. He will be like that ****** ********he fighting second rate opponents to milk whatever they can get and be HYPOCHONDRIAC when someone like PBF offered a fight. Always try make excuses, you British idiots are not fooling anybody.

The people who are saying Hatton is **** are the same idiots who said Tszyu would KO him in round 1, you cant listen to people who are obviously brain dead.

Hattons a really good fighter, if you really watch him you will see little head movements, switching angles, great accuracy, etc, etc!! his skill is so underated is unreal, just because he doesnt stick and move on the outside doesnt mean he has no skill, if you have ever got in a ring you would know that boxing on the outside is far easier than on then inside. For all his talent Mayweathers going to get beat by Hatton, he brings too much heat for him, its not just pressure is methodical controlled pressure.

BTW, you ****ing ******s shouldnt comment unless you have seen them fight at least few times, i've seen all of Hattons fights and 95% of Mayweathers, i dont know how you can comment after only one fight?!?

ha ha hahah ha. Hatton suddenly on the upper echelon of his division after the ref gave him a favor. ha ha ha ha. Zoo would have knocked out that bicth especially if the ref was the one that did the Soto-Juarez fight. Zoo would have enough room to fully extend his right hand and flush that sucker. But because the ref gave a little hand to let Hatton do his dirty tactics so he could stay inside. See Zoo wants a rematch and that ***** pussied out. If Hatton wants respect go to states and fight Zoo there in neutral venue so we can see what he can do without his comfort zone. Hatton boxing skills is little bit above average, weak jab, poor footwork, get cuts easily, hittable and questionable chin after Magee dropped him and Phillips clock him. I dunno why these British idiots is so highly on this *****, I don't see anything to suggest that he will dominate his division. He might dominate tha ****ty fighters that they have in UK especially with the favorable ref. And these British idiots will ***** about how the hell their boyfriend Hatton got no respect just like the other ****** ********he. Phukkers, go fight everybody and don't duck no one like what Hagler did when he beat the living shiet out of Minter in England and when he fought. If you gonna be pussey twice, then phukk off.
