So that hype job Berto can get a shot without earning it. Makes me sick. It's just something that came across my head.

You may have a point. I just feel that it will come a point where both may end up fighting. Martinez will only fight Bute at 168....and that might not even happen as HBO may try to throw money at Martinez to make him their fight....and with Bute being locked to showtime...that fight may never happen.

Other than that, after Pirog...who is there for Martinez. Floyd will never fight him, and we would criticize Manny for facing Cotto, Chavez Jr, Mosley and Martirosyan so I dobut Martinez would try to feast on those guys.

With Manny...Berto match sucks as does Marquez III, Mosley etc. So i see a possiblily of both eventually fighting because whe else is there left for each other.

Anyone from 140-154 with a belt deserves a shot a Pacquiao.

Berto has a belt. The belts should be cleaned up and unified by the best fighters in the divisions.

          Pacquiao should do that.

Martinez vs Pac IS a mismatch. Thats why he doesn't want it.

Floyd vs Martinez is a better fit, but Floyd won't take that fight.

I bet DiBella would be OK with any of his fighters getting a shot at Pacquiao. As much as most of us don't care for Berto we should give DiBella credit for getting these big money HBO fights for his guy.

Berto hasn't done anything to deserve it though. You can say he is in a thin division and all that. But he had two chances to fight Mosley and went in another direction both times although the first time had some reason to it.

If you were Berto you wouldn't take the fights because the money was too much and you didn't "deserve" it?

Pac would not fight Martinez ever...

If Pac offered Martinez a fight at a reasonable weight where Martinez felt comfortable. Martinez would not turn it down, no matter how much of a mismatch it is. He would take.

The thing is Martinez will not get any offer from Pacquiao.
