Dude just look at the KO. WTF is williams doing throwing a lazy punch in range with his hands all the way down his waist. I've always said he was a KTFO waiting to happen. Never expected it to be sergio because of his style but paul has always been overrated. pavlik would knock him out too.
I post some interview/article on here last week from Ron fraizer(Trainer) Which was turned into another "Oh the guy is hating on Pac thread", He picked Martinez is going to win this fight because he thought Williams hasnt improve and still fights the same way like he did 2 years ago, Frazier said he thought Williams was the guy that would beat Mayweather in 2 years time at that time but he said he doesnt think so anymore..
Williams could run around using his height and reach to score points but thats not him, he's a Fighter and wants to mix it up despite all his physical advantages. Boxing would be a better sport if it had more fighters with a Paul Williams attitude .
Paul's offence is his defence and he's been able to rely on that along with his chin and guts to this point, he just got tagged with a straight up bomb that was timed perfect and that he never seen coming.
I hope Williams chin isnt gonna start letting him down, he's had alot of hard scraps
I'm all for a good toe to toe fight but Williams should be using his advantages over his opponents. I would prefer to see him use his jab more and move more around the ring. He can also throw in some good combos to keep the guys off balance. It just makes more sense to have the guy wear down and frustrate his opponent than to just trade power shots from the opening bell.
I picked Martinez based on this fact alone; it was a rematch
Martinez = extremely adaptable and has adapted mid-fight before
Williams is stubborn like Pavlik and just because something has been extremely effective in the past he sticks with it unconditionally in every situation

Sometimes, fighters are never the same fighters when they just rely on plain brawling tactics to please the crowds. Paul left himself wide open for that shot.
It remains to be seen how much that has affected him based on the performance of in his next few outings.
No doubt he's a very entertaining fighter, just not sure how fighting that way could help prolong his career in the long run.
