**** this is boxing. **** happens. He got caught with a bomb from one of the best fighters on the planet. With the way he fought, he was bound to get caught. Martinez timed it perfectly and Williams didn't see it coming at all. He needs to go back and make some adjustments. He needs to fight tall, use a good jab and work on some damn defense. He'll be ok. He didn't take punishment for an entire fight. As long as his confidence is ok, he'll be ok as well. How many fighters in history have been kod badly and came back? It happens sometimes. When you fight at the top level of the sport, every punch can be a dangerous one.

I dont think he needs to do either of those things but he does need to use his physical advantages like his reach to keep fighters at the distance he wants, and try this thing we like to call "defense" from time to time. Leaving your neck and chin out in the middle of the air aint what's up

Ehhh he looked terrible IMO. Actually, he always looks terrible, but today he was just the worst. He should retire and play basketball or something, he's too uncoordinated for boxing.

He lost decisively to a soft ass overrated Quintana, lost every round to Cintron, lost 8-4 on my card against Sergio the first time around and got flattened in 2 this time.

He's a bum wrapped in HBO plastic.

pwill can still fight the same style, but he needs to keep his gloves around his chin instead of dropping them down to his waist like an amatuer.

Paul Williams is still not even 30 yet. He can and SHOULD fight on, these people who say he should retire are just being plain ridicilous. Ok, he will never be a top P4P boxer but he is still a good fighter, I can see him winning a belt again for shure. It's like people think if any fighter gets KO'd they should retire, lol how would boxing look like if that was the case?
