Pac has to stay under 150lbs to be succesful with his speed and I doubt Martinez is going to budge and come down to under 154....

Plus after Pacs fight with Marg its clear that these bigger mens punches are taking a toll on Pac..

I wouldnt mind seeing it when Floyd ducks again but Roach and team are smarter then that.

I really wish Martinez could make that weight comfortable because that could get it done. Martinez use to but with his age I feel it may be impossible for him to make 154...which is why he said anything 156 or above.

Before you guys flame...let me speak my piece.

I truly hope Floyd vs Manny happens next fall. If not then that is pretty much a wrap for that fight. Manny will more than likely face Shane (don't wanna see this but you know d@mn well it's happening) and after that....there really isn't anyone left.

At that point Manny should face Martinez and win/lose call it quits. I know most think this is ridiculous but I feel this is no different than:

Robinson going up to face Maxim
Armstrong going for a MW title

and countless other examples in which a guy took a huge risk going up in weight. Win or lose Manny gets respect for trying the impossible. He would literally have zero risk and a lot to gain. No one ever criticize Duran for coming up short against Haglar, Robinson coming up short against Maxim, Armstrong for not winning the MW title and Ketchel falling to the much larger Johnson.

Just my take on things....as there really isn't any left for Manny if him and Floyd don't fight.

Yeah your more than likely right about this. I just Hope Manny takes this as a last fight. Dude would have nothing to lose and even if he makes it competive...which I have no doubt that he will....dude would still improve his legacy with his performance against Martinez.

let's be realistic here...that fight is too much for pac not only because of size disparity. martinez is a middleweight who got serious power, good boxing skills and ring generalship. if you care about pac's health you wouldn't want that fight to happen.

come on now this is like asking a 160 to fight a heavyweight. Thats just wrong in so many ways, I like pac but if this fight happens at 154 above, my logical sense will kick in and choose sergio.
