All jokes aside, this is the second week in a row when the ref makes a terrible call that could have gotten a fighter seriously hurt. Margarito last week and now this? I knew paul wasnt going to wake up for another week as soon as i saw him start to go down. The ref made a huge mistake. In a situation like that, yes; ten seconds is a long time.

Maybe because he saw that pwill still had his eyes open & the ref thought he was just resting for a few seconds before getting up??

I think the KO shocked everyone, including the referee. Before he realised what was going on, he was probabaly giving the count on instincts alone.
