That's what Paul Williams gets for fighting like an amateur.

Looked to me Martinez was looking for that overhand left from the starting bell. He had Paul already figured out, obviously studied videos of Paul, and knew the overhand was going to land at will.

It was a smart move on Martinez camp behalf.

This fight makes me wonder what might have happened if Cinron didnt swan dive outta the ring and actually got to crack a couple of hooks to P-Will's jaw? I sort of think it was a lucky punch that Sergio threw...I mean he wasnt even looking at where he was throwing the punch. But I'm not trying to take nothing away from Martinez...the better fighter won. I may think it was lucky-ish but I admit he has tremendous boxing skill and savvy.

      Props to Argentina. Up next...Maidana.

That's why he got caught flush and that's why he got caught flush in the first fight and in the Cintron fight.

Williams' defense is really really ****ty for a 'professional' boxer I must say. You're not supposed to block with your jaw.

Sergio Maravilla Martinez, p4p #3 in the sport.
Also before Sergio detonated that bomb off Williams' chin he'd already landed about 3 of those left hooks... Keeping your guard up is just basics... seriously.

Agreed, that's why I've never been a PW fan he does fight like an amateur and he disrespects the abilities of his opponents. That he'd get KTFO by a punch that takes advantage of his lack of caution doesn't shock me.

If you watch the fight from Round 1, you will see Martinez actually opts for the overhand left on a couple of occasions. I don't think it wasn't luck involved, that punch was being set-up every single time by Martinez. At the end of the day Paul walked right on to it, and Martinez was looking for it 'bingo'.
