Mosley was a good win though but nothing spectacular. Barrera is a HOF to so let's give Amir ALLLLLL the credit in the world for beating him past his prime and above his best weight because it fits the ***** standards.
They want Marquez at 147 because he is still Pac's step dad and 147 and roach knows this which is why he wants another BS advantage for Pac.
Just fight the man at 140
Well why does TEAM PAC want to fight Marquez @147lbs..lol.. if he looked slow @147..how will he be effective @147? Your telling me 7lbs caused him to lose skill? Size doesnt win fights....skill does....

Margarito beat Cotto...whos the better skilled fighter?

Dude Barrera wasnt rated #1 in his division nor was he anywhere near the P4P list when he fought Khan....lol..horrendous analogy

Neither was Marquez rated at 147 let alone 140 when he fought Floyd that's my point. You bringing up them wanting Marquez at 147 lets me know i've schooled you. I never brought that up. And if it did happen I would **** on the fight as much as you because Pac can damn well make 140 without trying. Mayweather didnt beat JMM based on size but the weight disparity significantly slowed marquez down. He looked slower then Margarito with his punches I repeat. Even Nacho said he didnt have the speed to **** with Floyd. It's not about size but rather it is about the diminished speed that he suffered by fighting at 147.

No one gave Pac' opponents a chance going in, big men or not....Clottey was about to retire and Play soccer because he was tired of boxing and fed up with Arum tactics. Cotto was gasping for his last air, wasn't even heal properly from the clottey fight till his camp was scared that he might re-opened the cut. Margarito was always a bum and will ever be a bum. His best win was against Cotto and after viewing his recent fights God knows what was in those gloves.

I wish my body now felt how it felt two years ago, for my wife would be way more satisfied...imagine fighters who are coming off terrible beat downs who are couple years older than i am and who given their life to many years of rigorous exercise? Have any of guys participate in any sport? An athlete life is measure in months. Mayweather doesn't get a full pass either, but his wins are against guys who still had pulses.

When Hatton knocked out castillo with that body punch in the 4th everyone said that hatton was gonna kill Mayweather, sorry Pac-fans, u guys weren't around then, but that don't mean it didn't happen. My point is, quit with the childish crap, it can be tit for tat. I want to see the fight, but it's attitude like this that's killing the sport. We need more top fighters not one person on top, so while elevating Manny stop trying to bring other fighters down. Imagine the sport with more than one fighter on top, i would have to find a new date night with my wife...lol. Anyways, Pac deserves his place just not someone else's lets elevate more fighters maybe our sport can get back to mainstream just saying.
            yah what he said

                Be Honest.

Mayweathers last 3 were all top 5 P4P at the time. One was also the number 1 ranked WW. Margo coming off brutal loss and layoff at a CW, Cotto coming off brutal loss and war of attrition with Clottey at a CW, and Clottey = stylistic fodder. When you really think about it it's actually Floyd.

so wait..its ok for PAC & Mosley to skip 140 and fight @147...but NOT Marquez?....JMM moved up to challenge Mayweather cuz he was the TOP WW..and a year before that he just handled Pacquiao.

Man it wasnt the weight...dude put on 7lbs...you have to be a HUGE idiot to think that 7lbs was the difference between Floyd shutting him out every round and Marquez beating him.

JMM was slow?..why did he say on 24/7 he was the strongest and fastest he's ever been? But YOU are telling me he was slow? Please show me where Marquez EVER blamed the weight for his loss....as a matter of fact here's a quote from Marquez before the fight...

“I have already got a good game plan for Mayweather, and I am building a lot of muscle,” Marquez said. “I am working out lifting different rocks and to get my body ready for the fight because strength will be one of the keys this time and I am confident I will be able to match him.

“Floyd has a very different style and he is harder to hit than Pacquiao. But we are working on different combinations so I can land punches and break through that defense.”

Marquez, Hatton and Mosley are all GBP fighters. Think about that before you say pac only fights top rank fighters

you're too caught up in your bull**** to realize that Manny is cleaning out the division. he'll fight them all sooner or later. unlike Floyd, Manny has fought top ranked guys in the division.. something Mayweather has been afraid to do.

Pac's people have been negotiating with Berto's (ranked 3) and Mosley (ranked 5) in the division if the Mayweather fight doesn't come off again.. what has Mayweather been doing? Negotiating with Paulie Malignaggi. Please...

Pacquiao's choice of welterweight opponents has been MUCH better than your boy Mayweather's.

& Cotto beat Mosley.. why fight Mosley first when you could fight a guy who beat him?
