And I don't even know how this Puerto Rico vs. Mexico rivalry **** exist because if you switch the size of the countries and the geographical location, then there wouldn't be any rivalry. Every Puerto Rican fighter would make every Mexican fighter eat their own ****. And I don't see a lot of Puerto Ricans being that arrogant about their fighters(except for iWatch, hehe).

If Mexico were located in the Philippines(and as the same size), then they'd be lucky to snag a flyweight world title. At least, the Philippines have produced a couple of world champions: "The Great" Flash Elorde, Luisito Espinosa, Pancho Villa, etc. and a lot of up and coming young exciting fighters like Brian Viloria, Rey Bautista, Rodel Mayol, etc. So shut the **** up, just because you only know one Filipino fighter in Manny Pacquiao doesn't mean he's the only one we have.

A lot of Mexican biased idiots on this board. Just remember, size and location is the key.
      If that's the case...

Let's take Mexico City by itself, and still got better fighters than the phillipines..

CraazyVince, if you think Mexico gots alot of fighters just because its closed to the US, then why doesnt Canada produce as many boxers like Mexico does, Canada is huge and bigger then Mexico. Its Cause they dont love the sport as Mexicans do, Philipines dont produce that many fighters cause alot of them dont like boxing, look, you guys just got Manny, am i right or wrong?. Dont say its cause Mexico is right next to the US, they could just choose Soccer, Baseball, or some other sport rather then Boxing, but they dont, lame excuse. Look how tiny Puerto Rico is, and look how many fighters are their, alot, im done, bye.

Phillipines has a lot of prospects. Hawaiian Puncher Villoria is definitely one of them. They have Bautista, Mayol Gorres among others. I think they just need some exposure. In Asia, Philippines are known for having one of the best producing champs in Asia. Unlike Mexico, Phillipines is so far away from United States so you won't see alot of them. Remember Phillippines produced two boxers in Ring Mag Top 80 which is more than any Asian countries.

I think you need to go to Ring Website and get the Ring Top 80 fighters since Ring Mag was founded and you can find the answer. If you don't know what I am saying is just search somewhere.
