    Few questions

Hi I'm new here and to boxing. I've done minimal martial arts but I have a bit of experience prior, taking up boxing due to simplicity.

I'm 16, how long do you think it will take until I can get to an amateur fight? Also, my abs/obliques/intercoastal muscles are way too sore to go again, do you think it is okay to just ease in how many times I do it a week for best progress? Finally, the guy said just keep orthodox stance if you are right-handed, do I never use the other southpaw stance then (in the ring), because in other martial arts you tend to learn both?
