Undefeated junior middleweight prospect Vanes Martirosyan was very impressed after watching the recent training sessions of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California. Vanes and Chavez are both trained by Freddie Roach at the Wild Card. Chavez is preparing for his pay-per-view fight with Alfonso Gomez on December 4. Vanes began training with the hope of securing a fight in the near future.

Respect Vanes and His Opinion; however,

I have a great deal of respect for Vanes. I have followd him to many fights, and know he is a budding star. I was not a fighter, so I can't begin to counter his opinion. I have no doubts Julio is improving. With Freddie and the Wild Card environment, it is a natural.

However, ALfonso Gomez is kind of the "Rodney Dangerfield" of boxers. No one ever gives him much credit and it is absurd. He is talented and has heart he can lend out. Chavez will lose this fight unless it goes to the cards. I am sure the Chavez win scores have already been filled out and sealed. It matters not, ASG will KO or TKO him in the 9th round.
