Will Francisco "The Wizard" Palacios show BJ Flores, how it's done?

During the last convention of the World Boxing Council (WBC) held in Cancun, Mexico, the World Championships Committee and the Governing Body decided WBC world champion status in that body by division and appointed his mandatory challenger. One of those challengers is the Puerto Rican cruiserweight contender Francisco "The Wizard" Palacios, who was named mandatory challenger for world champion of that division, Poland's Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.

For their reaction to that decision and he talked to Parker said, "This to me is the way everyone wants when one gets to a sport. You always want to be the best of the best. For me it is almost dream come true, if he wins the title it would be a dream come true, plus a promise fulfilled that I made for my brother. "

Would you feel any pressure if you had to go home the champion to challenge him?

"No, because I am a person that wherever I go the fans love me, because I am very humble, a person who likes to shake and relax with everyone. If I have to go pa 'home then you take away his title. "

Wlodarczyk Noting the record, 47 fights took place, has 44 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 32 knockouts, you know you have the ability to take the title?

"Well, as I always say, man is a strong fighter, a fighter says his record, he always comes to fight, has never been knocked out. But that means nothing to me because a record is a number. It has had many opportunities to fight. My chance will be now. I do not know what will happen, if this is the only opportunity I have. In truth, I know I have to win, I have much more than what he has to offer. And I know I can beat without any problem. What I have to do what I always do, training hard, fight easy. "

What type of match you'd have to do to emerge victorious?

"Well, a smart fight and he is the champion and always comes to fight. I have him respect outside the ring as a fighter and a man. Inside the ring I'm going to have a strategy. I know I will adapt to it. If he does not suit me, he will have many problems and will be a long night and maybe it could be that knocks, you know. "

In your career you have had the opportunity to fight in several countries against local fighters, do you think this experience will serve as motivation to fight Wlodarczy, who will be the fans in his favor?

"Well, actually all the fights I've had, is with whoever I like the lame world championship fight, and that takes you to the other. As soon as I entered the sand I'm ready to do one thing, fight and win. In truth I do not hear the fans, I what I do here is to my corner and I'm going to do and nothing more. Do not let anyone distract me. "

Be the first time you'll be making a 12-round bout, are you physically prepared if the fight reached the limit?

"I'm ready for 15, 20 rounds, that will not see any problem."

Francisco "The Wizard" Palacios, his chance to fight for a title is close, so feel well motivated and prepared for the big challenge is to have. We said it was grateful to God for all he has achieved so far. Also thank you to boxeomundial.com, your family, friends and fans for the support they have always provided.

In short, The Wizard ( Puerto Rican) will be mandatory to belt holder Poland's Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. will he win, instead of flop like a pancake, as did BJ Flores infront of Green?

I really don't think that anybody highly regards BJ Flores. He is kind of like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. In other words, he had been fighting only weak opposition. Also, his performances against those weak fighters were poor. Danny Green was a giant step up in competition for Flores.

You know The Wizard had a controversail fight on Telefutura against a Mexican called Carlos Raul Ibarra? I saw it. I didn't see the big deal but on Boxrec they name a writer who said it was, but its there, and Wizard lost almost every round in one fight to come back and win by KO , so Wizard isn't that great, but champion? Maybe, just maybe, is this Poland Champion any good, at Cruiserweight?

Between Ibrarra and Wizard, Ibrarra was throwing bombs and Wizard was boxing, so maybe they got mixed up, I have that fight on DVD but no DVd Ripper, if anybody can hook me up with one, thank you.

          barra Loses Controversial Decision!

Francisco Palacios (9-0 4 KO’s) “defeated” Carlos Raul Ibarra (5-2-1 3 KO’s) in a six round cruiserweight match that went the distance.

Both men started swinging wildly at each other from the beginning of the fight.

Ibarra calmed his punches down and began to connect, while Palacios continued to throw wildly and miss all night long. Ibarra followed him around the ring, put pressure on his opponent and he hit Palacios with heavy right hands when he got him on the ropes. The boxers butted heads early in the second round and a nasty cut opened over Ibarra’s right eye. Referee Ray Scott stopped the action and asked the doctor to look at the cut. The doctor allowed the fight to continue and Ibarra’s corner did an excellent job with the cut.

Toward the end of round two, Ibarra landed a left hook to his opponent’s head and Palacios’ glove touched the mat but the referee didn’t score it as a knockdown. After the fight, Ray Scott said, he didn’t see any punches land and Ibarra stepped on Palacios’ foot.

The fight continued in the same pattern. Palacios ran and missed with his punches and Ibarra continued to land hard shots, mostly right crosses and some body work, in every round. It was hard to imagine any rounds going to Palacios.

After the fight, Palacios jumped on the ropes in the corner and raised his gloves in victory while the Desert Diamond Casino fans booed loudly. Then Ibarra raised his gloves in victory and the venue erupted in cheers.

Judge Chris Wilson, Joe Garcia and Gerald Maltz all scored the bout 58-56 in favor of Palacios. The crowd booed fervently when the scores were announced and Ibarra hung his head in disbelief and sorrow.

Francisco Palacios's fight against Carlos Raul Ibarra was over four years ago. Palacios would have had to make major improvements since then if he is to beat Krzysztof Wlodarczyk.

Krzysztof Wlodarczyk has beaten Giacobbe Fragomeni in their rematch and Steve Cunningham in their first fight. So Krzysztof Wlodarczyk has the much better record.

Well, when you put it that way, I think he loses.
