I guess Floyd Sr has conceded that Pac is greater than Jr. at this point of their careers. This is his statement advising his son to leave the game in case the Pac-May fight doesn't come through

Floyd is playing his cards right, hoping Pac get's battle worn... but it is not happening. He has demolished all men who has stood up for the challenge and has really not received "war damage" in fights. Really, below average damage for the kind of fights he's taking (Cotto, Margarito).
