at the time because everyone already said Cotto wasn't the same a
fter Margarito. To be more specific. Roach said it himself about
Cotto while he said Mosley was a bigger threat. You tell me which
fight would have been more meaningful for Pac?

Had he fought a matthew hatton or something I could see the outcry for not fighting mosley.

just accept it and get it on. Show the world that your really
worthy of the P4P thrown Floyd left warm for you to sit in.

So be it.

Cotto wasn't the same fighter after Margarito and the fight would
have been at 147. I guess we are going to have to disagree about
which fight was more meaningful because Mosley TKO'd Margarito,
who TKO'd Cotto and took Cotto's title from Margarito. Just like
the point I made earlier. Floyd fought one JMM catchweight fight
and Mosley when he came back. Pac fought, Oscar, Cotto
(Catchweight) and Clottey. Floyd had one fight that put him
over Pac at 147 and Pac fought more? Mosley was the one
to beat and the most significant fight for either guy. Mosley
had a terrific win over the so called most feared man who
stomped Cotto out. The only thing that made the Cotto fight
more relevant is that Bob Arum represents both fighters and
kept the fight in house, for money purposes.

I find it very funny that there's a huge problem with Floyd asking for OSDT, but it's okay for Manny's camp to ask for a drug test THE DAY OF the Margarito fight. Margarito's history is what it is, but at the end of the day Pac's camp wanted a test because they speculated that something was in Margarito's beverage. Just like Floyd speculated that Manny is on steroids.
The only way to find out the truth is to take the tests. But Manny Pacquiao's team and his fans are some of the most delusional, one sided idiots I've ever seen in my life. I pray that Floyd not only shuts him out, but leaves him looking like a fool like he did Hatton.

Does that make it more meaningful? Not for pacquiao's career I would say since there was also the cotto option who was legit threat and brought more to the table moneywise. I view it as a similar situation to when floyd fought baldomir instead of tony in terms of side stepping the bigger threat for a fight that still means something and could lead to even more.
And they wanted no parts of him.
