not according to steve kim and also the big promoter here in washington that puts together all the fights (he said on facebook he got the bantamweight tournament).
it's where I live numbnuts which means I get to go
Are you sure you want to go there? I mean Khan-Maidana will be on Dec. 11th. If I was you I would stay at home and watch that one and increase the tv views. I'm just saying.
Showtime's four-man single-elimination bantamweight tournament semifinals finally has a home. The Dec. 11 doubleheader will take place at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Wash., promoter Gary Shaw told ESPN.com. Shaw said he closed the deal Wednesday. The card, on which Vic Darchinyan meets Abner Mares and titleholder Yonnhy Perez faces Joseph Agbeko in a rematch, was originally slated to take place in Leon, Mexico. However, because of safety concerns and productions issues Showtime decided it did not want to go to Mexico, forcing the promoters to find another location. Shaw said he and Golden Boy's Richard Schaefer, who promotes Mares, looked for a venue in Southern California, but could not come up with one on short notice. The winners of the two fights, as well as the losers, will meet in the first half of 2011.

seattle is pretty random, nice casino there or something??
actually it's in Tacoma. They have fights there all the time. Emerald Queen Casino. The environment is always electric for fights, always jam packed even when it's absolute nobodies fighting. It's a good atmosphere.
It does seem random for this event though, although Vic Darchinyan has fought here a couple times.
