here is why Danny Green is hated

    - he is fighting no-hopers, small guys, washed up fighters

    - he is handpicking guys who have no business left in a boxing ring
    like Briggs and Jones

    - he acted like beating Roy was a great achievement at this point of his career

    - he has defended against Manny Siaca, former WBA super middleweight champion (his last fight prior to the Green fight was at the middleweight limit)

    - he is forcing his opponents to fight him around 185 lbs when in fact he has a cruiserweight bullcrap title and should be fighting at the division's limit

    - he doesn't want to face the best in his own division and is deceiving his fans

    - he has tried to drain Flores by offering more money for each pound less on his cruiserweight frame

you say it's not his fault that Briggs took a dive, but what can you really expect of a man who has been out of the ring for 3 and a half years ? why pick someone like that in the first place ? TO HAVE AN EASY NIGHT WHILE GIVING THE IMPRESSION TO THE ONES WHO DON'T KNOW **** ABOUT THE SPORT THAT HE IS FIGHTING QUALITY OPPONENTS. This was another great cherrypick by Green, and it blew right in his face, good for him, shame on him

to sum it up, Green deserves all the hate he has been getting, but the Flores fight was a much better fight, a huge step up ( he didn't really have a choice after screwing his fans last time around), and if he can continue to fight real live cruiserweights at the division limit, the hate will disappear and he will start making fans around the world, simple as that
Small guys? WTF? He is fighting guys his own size many SMWs walk around in the mid 180s and just clearly beat a much bigger man than himself and made it close kind of easy in a very skillful manner.

I don't care how long Briggs was out of the ring he was supposed to fight and there is no excuse for him taking a dive, not to mention it was something out of Green's control.

So he fought Roy, it was a name and he won in impressive fashion can't blame the guy for being excited over a win against a guy with the name recognition of Roy.....its not a great win no one was saying it was.

It just seems like ppl follow whatever other ppl say(Roy nutthuggers), without even watching Green fight or knowing anything about him.

Green put on an excellent display of boxing against Flores and was countering him all night.

So what is not to like? Regardless of all the hate he gets Danny Green is a good fighter and a top CW even though he is really a LHW fighting at a higher weight class.

He accomplished something that one other guy has done, and the other guy was Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897. So, that speaks for itself. Roy has fought 20 world champions and had over 30 championship fights. He is very much a legend. Also, Danny handwraps are not wrapped correctly. I am not saying they are illegal, but the tape is not proper and the gauze sits five inches above his knuckles. But Roy had punch resistance, he got checked by Ruiz, at 226, hes been whacked before. He has none now it seems. But his chin if fine. Its the side of his head that has become soft it seems. But, Danny Green willnever be considered on Roys level, and Green has questions to answer too.
These facts should be reminded as well , although I never knew using brown bottles is prohibited.
Roy is not even a top 20 ATG , nor a top 10 all time LHW.
Roy avoided every serious threat during his prime , he was never really checked , Ruiz was too slow for him to hit him clean. Toney was drained against him . Reggie Johnson was 33 , and did not fight in his optimal weight which was 168 lbs those days , fact is he weighed in only 171 for a "LHW title" fight ,

Danny Green asked for water and was given something other than water that looked very suspect in his fight against Flores. Sure the **** didn't look like any sports drink I've ever seen before and sports drinks aren't water. **** was like the color of piss kind of but thicker looking, I doubt it was apple juice.

The fans are not so sure He is fighting with clean hands. His win over RJJ was suspect and maybe He needs to fight here, where we can make sure He's not loading on something.
Most people don't like cheaters unless they are promoted by Top Rank.

            Why because Roy says so?

The Green hate is so irrational, he is stopping ppl all of the time and looking good lately.

first of all, you have ducked 80% of my arguments that explain why Green is ''hated''

as for the arguments you haven't ducked, you have come back with poor stuff

You say Briggs was supposed to fight blablabla... but what about the fact Green cherrypicked a man who had been out of the ring for 3 and a half years ? what excuse do you have for that ? there are plenty of active fighters out there, no need to fight a retired lightheavyweight who has neurological problems. If Green had a belt out of the 4 recognized organizations, that fight never would have been allowed to take place.

and yes, he is fighting small guys in the sense that he doesn't want any part of a real cruiserweight (not before Flores at least)

he prefers to make washed up fighters of lower weight classes go up like Jones, Siaca and Briggs

The Jones win is ok with me because of his big name, but the fights against Siaca and Briggs were disgraceful

as I have already said, Green deserves the hate because of the way he handles his career

if he wants to fight light heavyweights, he just have to get down to lightheavyweight, he has to stop with that bull*****t of fighting 168-175 people around 180-185

and again, if he decides to change his ways and keep on facing good, natural and live cruisers like Flores, he will gain the respect that he hasn't merited since he has made his comeback

If you don't like my answers you shouldn't have replied to the thread, I think your general premise for the hate he gets is irrational and not based on how good of a fighter he actually is which isn't great but just good. The FACT is that he is the size of a small LHW or large SMW so he is not cherrypicking smaller opponents, most of these fighters are around his general size.

Who cares if he fights at catchweights or who he fights? Since when is the IBO recognized by anyone as a major title that has to be defended against the elite?

Sure I admit he could fight better opposition, like yesterday, it was a step up and I hope he keeps up stepping up in comp. I didn't say his opposition was great ever up until I just don't see why ppl hate him and make things up about loaded wraps and now peds based on speculation but I speculate the large majority of hate stems from RJJ fandom.
