like i said , how do you know what deal he got?

besides he already threatened to leave. remember when he signed with gbp and then they made up that bs that he signed with top rank 1st (which was complete bs)?

probably got a good deal then.

sure he got a better deal. arum still has to convince him to sign the extension.

anyways.....the guy made 15 mil. last saturday. MINIMUM.

i ain't gonna cry for the guy no matter how much better he could have done.

      who knows?

he's making what 15 million minimum this last fight?

he's not gonna starve. don't really care if he makes more.

From DZRH (Local radio station here) : Pac's gurantee was $18M and he's about to get another $10M from PPV.

      on topic :

Manny pacquiao is not promoter. Choosing TR over GBP was a great decision.

Agreed but personally think he won't leave Arum. IMO, reason is loyalty. After a slew of thieves disguised as promoters prior Arum, pac is indebted to him. I'm not saying Arum is not a money grubber but he made Pacquiao richer than probably his wildest dreams. Pinoys often have this "utang na loob" going for them unlike most European/Americans. It is a culture thing. Same reason why ( IMO, 90% ) take care of their parents ( when they no longer can take care of themselves) personally rather than leaving them in a welfare center. It has its advantages/disadvantages. But often in Pinoys, this is often the unwritten rule rather than the exception.

That was back then, this is now Manny could get a better deal he only needs to act and if he feels comfortable with Top Rank he doesn't even need to leave just explore his options..

There is no way Arum would offer Manny the best deal unless he was forced into, I am sure the deal is fair and works for both parties but at this point in Manny's career the time for that is over he need to be thinking about how best to cash out best since his time is running short.

It isn't a big deal but I just would rather a fighter get the money than Bob Arum and unless you put pressure on Bob he will treat nickels like manhole covers. 15 million is great unless you are worth more

He can be loyal but he need to be out for number 1 aswell. He doesn't even need to leave to get the best offer from Top Rank just start looking at options and the vault gets opened up.

I don't mind promoters making money as they are taking risk but fighters are in an even riskier profession so I always want to see fighters do the best they can.

that's why pac has all these tax problems , lawsuits and repossessions.

also why buboy and roach had to give him money to resolve his issues while pac was retired.
good thing he could always fight once a year to pay off those debts!

I think he'll do these two fights but he has a lot more than 2 more fights left in him. He has at least abother 5 years of gas left in that tank.

I can see him doing his next couple fights for Bob, retire and then come back with the likes of GBP.

                    Richard Schaefer FTW!
