How long have you been following boxing? 2 years?

Who was Clottey? Who is Margarito? They are in-house Top Rank fighters and just because he fought them doesn't mean "There's no1 left."

This thread has nothing to do with Mayweather Jr. A telltale sign of a ******* is somebody who brings up Mayweather in any thread that has to do with Pacquiao, even when the thread has nothing to do with Mayweather.

Slluuuuurp manny = real boxing fan. Manny not your favorite= not a real boxing fan. Geez. Hope the facebook page with slurpavelli comes out well.

What if you watch boxing every chance you get, go to fights, collect memorabilia and spend an inordinant amount of time posting in the NSB, but you don't like Manny. Are you a real boxing fan?

Just pointless. Here's to hoping for something better next year.
              Good words.

Boxing never died or went anywhere. People need to realize with the oversaturation of media coverage and information outlets boxing can't be as corrupt as it used to be which is where some folks in boxing want to keep it. If both PBF and Manny never fought again but every weight division champ no matter the alphabet belt they had only fought the true best fighters in they weight class and not some of those BS ranked fighters by these BS organizations boxing would be way bigger cause focus would be on more than just 2 people.

Boxing, like horse racing, is never getting back to where it was 20-30 years ago as a mainstream US sport. Its now become a niche sport like MMA or poker (ugh).

Manny isn't bringing boxing back, but it is good to see boxers get coverage when its not for law violating or cheating. I'm glad Manny was on 60 minutes just as I was glad floyd was on DWTS.

To me the best part about them fighting is the opportunity to stack the undercard with quality fighters that have no mainstream popularity (bradley, pwill,) aso they can get the shine.

I'll love him when he faces legitimate competition, and none of this catchweight bull****. If he fights those guys win or lose I'll grow to like him.

Outside 1-2 of the biggest Tyson/Oscar PPVs, he is on the same level.

He has fought 3 of the 6 best welterweights of a division that only a year ago was considered the best in the sport, and his fight before that was against the 140 champion.

Some real irrational hate. People like you make boxing look bad.
