Would Pacquiao, Mayweather actually be a good fight?

I know there're countless bs threads dissing both of these guys, but I haven't come across one with this title:

Would Pacquiao, Mayweather actually be a good fight?

There's a massive amount of intrigue, the two best fighters of this generation. Both have contrasting styles but both have similar assets; speed, footwork, next level stamina. The hype would be unreal and it would be a spectacular event.

So after all this will the fight actually be exciting? After all the fuss and hype, what if it's ****?

    Anyways....

It would be an interesting fight from a technical standpoint and the historic context. But if Floyd is able to maintain his gameplan effectively, it would be a boring fight regardless of who wins.

Depends what happens in the fight, it could look as bad as Calzaghe/Hopkins match up where the two boxers hit alot of air. For some reason some of the Floyd fans on here underrate Manny's footwork which might be some of the best footwork in boxing.

They also claim Pacquiao gets hit too much, yet thats also not true because if he got hit as much as some of them claimed he would be alot more beaten up after fights and would have lost by now(I'm saying lost by now meaning as loss recently by now since he has been fighting bigger guys).

        What constitute a "good fight"?

        • Lots of action? Rock'em-Sock'em types?
        • Technical and strategic fight?
        • Both?
        • Domination by one?

From the purists' standpoint, any kind of pugilism is "good". I just want to see them both confirm their status as the "bests".

All of these are just mere expectations meets reality.

Pac would land two punches in a decent combination and Mayweather would end up in a shell getting pounded.

My money is on Pac... and whatever happens in this fight it'll be great...! Too much intrigue for it to be bad.

It would be awesome!!I have always thought of Floyd as weak & chinny.........then I saw him against Mosley,he took 2 shots that stop any other welterweight then proceeded to out pressure & out hustle & outfight a bigger, stronger Mosley!!

Then there is Pacman, blazing handspeed, good power & boss stamina!!There is nothing more to expect from Manny other than an amazing offensive display!!A truly great fight!!

It may be exciting early but I think Floyd would figure Pac out, make adjusments and outbox Pac in the later rounds.

put me down as thinking the fight will be technical and unexciting.

                  intriguing? yes. action packed? no

i dont think it will be as bad as floyd/oscar, which was dreadful. take that fight and replace them with two unknown fighters and it'll put you to sleep

There would be alot of Mayweather-Mosley round 2 in it. It would be interesting to see how Mayweather will cope with that for 12 rounds.
