Comments Thread For: Mosley Voluntarily Drops Defamation Suit Against Conte

According to multiple reports, Shane Mosley has ended his defamation suit against BALCO lab founder Victor Conte, which ends a legal battle that lasted for over 2-1/2 years. The $12 million dollar suit was quietly dismissed last week. A document filed on Friday in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan states the case was "voluntarily dismissed with prejudice and without costs, disbursements or attorney's fees to any party against another." A case dismissed with prejudice cannot be re-filed. Mosley attorney has refused comment when contacted by various media outlets.

Shane realized that, in his case, fans don't really care that he cheated. It is what it is!

Mosley was caught on tape saying he took the clear. He realized he couldnt win and didnt want to blow any more money on the case. Lawyer fees are no joke.

More likely he wanted to save himself from an obvious losing case and shine the spotlight back on this issue. Conte never misled Shane, and even if he did Shane would have known deep down what he was doing.

Like everyone else who files a lawsuit once they are found out.
