I agree. To the casual fan boxing will be dead but for us genuine fans there are many good fighters out there.
People want to see Pacquiao fight.
People want to see Floyd lose, thus I agree that boxing without pacquiao will lose interest to the casual fan. Manny was becoming a boxing icon and hottest product for the sport til Floyd came back and tried to steal the spotlight. But talk is cheap Floyd, so keep talkin while pacquiao owns the sport.

Always, always dead wrong.
the sport certainly has lost its luster in mainstream media. ESPN will only talk boxing if Mayweather/Manny are involved.
Boxing is a niche sport....much like figure skating.
