Shane was regarded more highly after Floyd came back from retirement. I think most would agree that Mosley is held in a higher regard than Margarito. Floyd beat up Mosley.
I know that BoxingScene has since torn down that win (Fixed fight, Mosley shot and old, Mosley long layoff, Mosley victory over Margarito is tainted), but the fact remains that the Mosley victory was a top notch win.

fighting a 38 year old fighter who has been inactive for 16 months isnt a big win. especially when said fighter fights five months after that and gets a draw against sergio ****ing mora.

Cotto and Marg are both with Top Rank. Floyd and team knew that Arum was obviously going to match both his fighters (Cotto and Marg) together as we have seen. Marg became the dominated winner of that. Shane busted Marg up while Cotto beat Shane previously...
Floyd waited for those three to bust each other up until he finally returns. Floyd fights Shane finally the oldest of the three who has been in more battles..
Smart move for Floyd..
Sounds about right. Now he's doing it again. He's waiting for someone else to beat Pac or for Pac's skills to diminish, then he'll say he shouldn't have to fight Pac because he's not on his level. Same thing everytime Floyd, no one's buying it anymore.
