About the nature of punches that had put Danny down:

    1. In Round 1, VK did not lend a single punch clean, but he still KD Danny

    2. In Round 3, VK lended a single left hook and KD Danny

    3. In Round 7, a single right hook send Danny almost through the ropes

    4. In Round 8, a nice 4 punch combo KD Danny. TKO

I agree in part with an earlier post. I don't think we can answer this question until VK's punches have been tested on guys of the calibre that Tyson ko'd in his prime. It's all well and good saying that he shook up Lewis but he's not the first guy to do that, even Bruno did it.

At this point I think Tyson was capable of landing harder shots due to his speed but can't say who has the hardest punch outright.

that's fair; at this point we can only go with subjective interpretations

Have you ever heard of a guy by the name of Trevor Berbick? That guy was the SAME calibre of fighter that Danny williams is. A prime Tyson KTFO'D Berbick in round 2.... ROUND 2.

Berbick was probably a better fighter than Williams but he didn't have as good a chin.

Iron Mike when he was young!!
Punching power is what an aging fighter keeps the most but well he's been quite shot for years now..
anyway Tyson was already his opponent before punching, just by his scaring hungry-angry look during the ref's instructions

well williams faced them both and catagorically said Tyson hits harder but is not as accurate. (anymore)
It was the accuracy of vitali's shots that destroyed him no the one punch power a culmulative effect if you will.

at the end of the day you can punch as hard as you like but if you hit fresh air that hurts less than a jab on the nose let alone a straight right cross!
