WBC world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is planning to fight three times in 2011. The first meeting will be a mandatory defense against the winner of December's final eliminator between Odlanier Solis and Ray Austin. Klitschko is picking Solis to win. He hopes his prediction comes true because the cable networks will not little interest in a fight with Austin. Klitschko wanted to fight Polish boxer Tomasz Adamek. The WBC turned down his request and ordered him to make his mandatory against next month's winner.

You gotta love the Klitschkos, Wlad is enroute to fighting three times this year and Vitali is stating he'll fight three times next year. That's what I like about these guys, they're consistent and keep the fans interested by fighting relatively frequently...

good to hear, more champions need to fight more times a year, this is where boxing is dying because the big names i.e. Floyd Mayweather, think that they only have to fight once a year which i think is bull****

Vitali's opponents, Solis and Adamek, excite me a lot more than Wladimir's.

Yeah those three fights would be sick.

Again the Klitschko's doing what champions should do, fighting the best challengers out there as frequently as possible.

vitali said he was gonna retire this year a while ago

im not in a particular rush to see him retire as long as hes winning but with all the people who hate him, it will be sad if he keeps fighting when hes 42 years old and finally gets beaten by some nobody and everyone has a field day

he needs to step down soon and let wlad have the spotlight while hes still in his good years imo, vitali has beaten every relevant HW of his generation and is just fighting for fun

Vitali has called out Haye for a fight in the spring, possibly at MSG.

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has once again thrown down the gauntlet to his trash talking nemesis, WBA heavyweight king David Haye ...
