Chavez Jr had his chance, even with the surgery looming Cotto still wanted the fight. The first excuse of not wanting to go to PI to train with Manny he called the fight off. Chavez Jr ran to the hills as soon as he could. He will not be fighting anybody in the near future.

Cotto has options: Angulo, Berto, Kirkland, Bundrage, Alvarez, Mundine, Cintron or a rematch with Mosley or Clottey. Cotto's leaky defense and good power will always make for a good fight and at that weight it could be anybody's fight

Cotto should fight Chavez, if he gets past Gomez or Andre Berto. They are winnable fights and the money should be good.
