LOL. Before Margo fought Pac, Garcia was 2-0 against Roach. After Margarito was slaughtered, someone here says Garcia was 4-1 against Roach. Wonder where he got the 2 wins.

BTW. If anyone noticed, the Margarito who fought Manny Pacquiao is an upgrade over the Margarito who fought Mosley. This Margarito actually utilized a good job, had a high guard and looks a lot better conditioned than the one who faced Mosley. IMO, the Margarito who faced Pacquiao would still beat Cotto in a rematch, but given the damage he took from Pacquiao, it would still be a good fight.

IMO, Garcia is a good trainer, given the improvements he was able to make with Margarito, but he is a long, long, way from being considered a great trainer. One of the reasons why he did not stop the fight is because he wanted very much to win the fight so that he could claim that he is even greater than Freddie Roach. He was still entertaining the notion that Margo could still KO Pac in the 10th round. For that reason, he is also an idiot.

I don't know if anyone got this, but at the time when Margo was caught cheating versus Mosley, Cotto was interviewed and asked if he thinks Margo used loaded gloves when they fought. Surprisingly, Cotto said he didn't think so! Several months later, Cotto seemed to change his opinion, but I have never read any article where Cotto categorically said that he believed Margo used loaded gloves in their fight.
I believe Margarito knew his hands were being loaded during the Mosley fight although his trainer claims he did not. However, the damage Margarito inflicted on Pacquiao given the few really solid shots he landed on him seems to suggest that Margarito is still a heavy handed fighter even without the loaded gloves.
Nobody has really hurt Pacquiao as much as Margarito did. For this reason, I think it's not a given that Cotto will win in a Margarito rematch.

fixed fight idiots
Just like I said. Any one with brains know this. From the beggining of the fight Marg was throwing punches like a girl because he didn't want to hurt pacquiao. I made myself some $$$ because this was a loud secret and only morons couldn't see it. With this result the pac- maytweather, the cotto- marg are still alive. Two very lucrative bouts my friend. This was a fixed fight. nitramzaid@hotmail.com

In that situation, Pacquiao's camp was the one who save Margarito from sustaining further damage.
Personally, this macho image is ****** because it could have ended Margarito's career, which that maybe the case. Although I've heard it is not. Your fighter's future lies on your hand, the ref., or your opponents camp, but most of all, from the doctor monitoring the fighters health condition. Making the wrong choice could have an irreparable consequences. Please, be responsible.
