Its a tough fight for both guys, you have a very good breakdown there of the problems pac will cause floyd. Though you missed out the problems that floyd will cause pac, I think floyd will actually hurt pac during the fight because he will be hit with punches that he won't see. He will definitely stop pac in his tracks in various parts of the fight, floyd's defence will also nulify many (not all) of pac's attacks. Floyd I think will also be very effective with his jab, probably the punch pac is most vulnerable to, and floyd will control the distance, and pacquiao will lunge in at times because of this and get countered. There is no one in the world better than floyd at controlling and measuring distance, and thats why he often hits fighters with shots that seem obvious, his speed also helps. Overall it is such a tough fight for both guys, I think it will be closely contested, neither guy has fought an athlete on the level of the other and that will definitely mean both guys will take punishment. I think it will go the full twelve rounds and be a close decision, I believe the cleaner work will come from floyd, but workrate and more shots thrown and landed by pacquiao, albeit less quality and clean. So it will be what you like more in the rounds...my 2 cents

I think typical boxing fans will be shocked when they see how much of a problem Pac is for Floyd when on paper it looks like Floyd can't lose.

Keep in mind, Floyd's toughest fight, where he got busted up the most was against emmanuel burton, who is the most unorthodox fighter floyd has fought. Floyd being a pure boxer knows the ins and outs of everything boxing but he will always have major problems against guys who fight outside the normal realms of boxing and do it well.

Yes and Pac's toughest opponent was Marquez.. your point? Manny isn't the only fighter that's improved.

Thanks man, too many bad posters on nsb now, it used to be better, you can barely have a boxing discussion on here now. For some reason people just don't have the ability to be impartial when discussing fighters, whether you like the fighter or not you should be able to recognise what he does well and what he does badly without just resorting to insulting them.

Why is Floyd so hesitant. Why did Floyd come up with an out of the norm drug test demand.. Its simple Pac his a HUGE THREAT Reasons

1. Power - Pac has power to hurt Welterweights not only in his left but his right hand as well. Pac hurt Margarito and dropped Cotto with both hands. Pac will hurt Floyd their is NO DOUBT about it

2. Speed - Every fighter that has faced Pac has mentioned this. You dont know how fast he is until you get in the ring with him. Pacs handspeed is insane and unpredictable.

3. Footwork - Pacs footwork is just as good as Floyds. He can dart in and out, moves side to side, and bounces around confusing opponents

4. Stamina - This includes Pacs work ethic. Pac has serious stamina and picks it up in the later rounds. This dude doesnt seem to tire. He is a gym rat just like Floyd. Pac WILL keep up with Floyd and possibly even speed it up

5. Punch Combinations - Pac throws 5 - 6 - even 7 punches at once. He does this confuse his opponent, you dont know how many punches Pac will through. Usually a fighter will throw a 2 or 3 punch combo and then rest. Pac confuses you with the amount of punches he throws and again all with POP...

6. Heart - No matter how dangerous the exchanges Pac is in, Pac has huge heart and will not back down. Sometimes heart can be a bad thing for fighters but Pacs heart has benefited him.

7. Chin/Durability - Pac has taken flush shots by Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey. Pacs has proven he can take shots by a Welterweight and remain on his feet.

8. Awkward Angles - "They say the punches that hurt you are the ones you dont see coming" Pacs throws from angles you dont see..

9. Southpaw - Like Floyd Sr. said, he dont want his son fighting Southpaws, Pac is the best Southpaw fighter to date. Extremely a factor when fighting Floyd. Dont forget the right hook Pac possesses that rock Marg. That same right hook that dropped Floyd when Judah landed it..


These are all simple facts to why I think Pac can beat Floyd

Im sure some of you can come up with more but from this assessment alone, its clear why Floyd is hesitant to fight Pacman.. Pac has become a complete fighter

And don't forget... Pac will have his most focussed training camp for this fight if in case the Ducker decides to man up... but I honestly don't think so

footwork..pacquiao doesn't have 3% of floyd ability when it comes to fw.

getting beat up..well pacquiao has been smashed in each and every fight.
