I bet Cotto changes his mind now and "coincidentally" agrees to fight Margs.....

Cotto was on board for a rematch after the Mosley fight. You're just misinformed. Margarito's first fight, outside of Garcia, after his suspension was Pac.

It has nothing to do with being opportunistic. Cotto has taken some bad beatings too, you're just making preemptive excuses.

This has been discussed before my man, Cotto wanted the rematch immediately after the marg loss, changed his mind after the wrap scandal, and then changed his mind again after the Foreman fight. In all honesty though, I agree, its a meaningless fight at this point, but the dude (and his fans) feels cheated (regardless of wether marg was actually loaded or not), Cotto would probably agree to a street fight if it meant payback.

At any rate, both guys are on their way out, hopefully they're about equal in wear and tear, and manage to put on another show.

c'mon bro...Cotto aint gonna come out and say 'fight me next week'

i'm sure Arum will allow Tony to heal and even get a tuneup before hyping up the rematch

and like Spray said, it's not like Cotto hasn't taken any beatings himself...he fought a Rabbi with Malinaggi-like power in his last fight as his tuneup to restore some of that confidence

that was right after he was caught cheating. you have to understand where he was coming from i dont think there's a boxer in the world who would'nt have thought the same in cotto's position.

he still hasn't mentioned margarito in particular he just said he would fight either guy again

Cotto wouldnt acknowledge anything that had to deal with Margs and said he wouldnt let MArgs make another dollar off of his name....

But now he wants to fight? Coincidence? I think not....

This is only but the truth! But sadly people will try to play it like it never happened. Now if there was some way to get the $100 bucks I lost for betting on Margs...

Except Cotto said he was open to rematching Margarito BEFORE the Pacquiao fight. Articles are on this very site. You're reaching.

Exactly. Htown, let me make it clear, he said he was open to fight all the big names and dropped a couple of names (some which made me pray for cotto's health) right after the Foreman fight, possibly out of confidence in Steward or newly found motivation after his father's death. Some of the names he mentioned were Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, Paul Williams, Alfredo Angulo, Sergio Martinez, Andre Berto and Chavez Jr.

Margarito is a shell without plaster. Yes he had his run and got away with it but now that he is being watched, he will never have the same power again

Ahh..Cotto will chase the fight and Marg will lose.

UNLESS Marg can find 2 or so easy fights to build his confidence up and then it'll be a 50/50 fight against Cotto.
