    Things have changed....

So after staying up until 6am Sunday watching the Haye then Pacman fights, I discuss the merits of the Pac win against Marg with a friend of mines, through bleary eyes and somewhat intoxicated mind. We consider all the aspects of the fight outside the ring, to try and put Pacs achievement into perspective. We can't help be impressed by what happened inside the ring. After considering Marg, his training, his size, his history, he was considered a stern test for Pacman through size alone. I'm under no illusion that Marg is suited to Pac due to the speed differential, obviously.

But before the fight you have that thing in your head about size and there must be a reason no one has moved through the weights like Pac and remained supreme. Upon both fighters entering the ring you can see the huge size difference and the task that faces Pac.

Although it's been a poor year for top fights, 12 rounds later and I've enjoyed my 2nd favourite fight of the year. (I'm a Scot, RB / RM fight my favourite ).

I spend the rest of Sunday sleeping. I anticipate the forum being jammed up with Pacquaio and Mayweather fans debating complete irrelevance of resumes, peds, legacy and the usual *****fest boxing scene. You see, I'm no boxing expert; I grew up a football fan (soccer) but always liked boxing. Over the last 7-8 years as I grew up, my love for boxing just grew, almost a primal instinct for the sport. I had no father to guide me, no friends with the same interest in the sport.
I joined this forum (the only forum I post or regularly read) to try and increase my knowledge of the sport, but nearly always find myself enraged by bravado and bull**** even by knowledgeable posters, blighted by their loves of particular fighters....

I'm by no means a *******, I mean, I love watching Floyd equally, but found myself increasingly disappointed by what I always seen as Floyd avoiding Pac in the negotiations. Blame it on tests, cut-off times or whatever you want, there was no question(for me) the fight didn't happen because Floyd didn't want it too and for his camp to hint without any proof that it was down to Pac being on PEDS was not only disgraceful but damaging to the sport. (Floyd putting up like he was trying to clean up the sport was embarrassing).

So I come on to this forum this evening and I’m pleasantly surprised! Many posts discussing the pros and cons of Pacs win, only occasionally being interrupted by those who have sat on Floyds fence for so long and have no other option but to carry on denouncing Pacs achievements.

Things have changed however. There now thankfully seems to be a general consensous that if the super fight is too happen it’s down too Floyd. (It’s down to both but it’s obviously clear that if Floyd wants the fight it’s there) This can no longer be up for debate. (it shouldn’t have been in the 1st place)

Floyd claims he is the greatest of our generation, he could well be, dam he could well be, thats whats so frustrating and no doubt ignited such debate. However Pacman has proved himself without doubt as the best of our generation. As greatness is not a designated attribute, this will always be open to debate, always. But can I now suggest that there is now a consensus/majority opinion that Pacman is top of the lot and for Floyd to change that, he must fight and beat Pac. This can only be a good thing for us fight fans.

Time to step up and prove you are the best Floyd.......

Basically, Pacquiao just completely shat over Floyd last night without even fighting him.

Last night, Pac made clear who the real P4P king is. And I'm a neutral as well.

There is only one thing in this world stopping this fight from happening and its stopped the fight from happening two times already. All Manny needs to do is submit to random blood tests all the way up to the fight. Floyd will take them too, fair and square.

floyd vs pac would have happened in march had floyd fought pac under the same rules, regulation, & testing floyd has done in all of his other victories.

Name me another sport, athlete, that dictated which steroid testing his opponents should take?

                    utterly ridiculous.

all against a guy he deemed too easy, one dimensional, too small, & overrated, not to mention a guy who has never failed a steroid test & has no evidence of steroid use.

                    thanks for playing.
