It’s a two-man race for the top spot.

    That much has not changed.

In that race, the last man seen running can make the difference in which one is observed leading the race.

After a dominant win over Shane Mosley in May, a win where Floyd Mayweather overcame a shaky second round to rout his man, it was easy to see in the mind’s eye how he would deal with the only real rival he has. [Click Here To Read More]

Why is Mayweather Jr rated #1 p4p IN Boxrec.com? I think it should be Pacquiao he has proved it

it shows you a lot about people's opinion, that not everyone admires a strong puncher as much as complete skills found in floyd. So people, esp the *******s who will give red k at the drop of a hat, there's also a different school of thought in boxing that's different from yours. and it's called LIFE!

You make it sound like Pacquiao has no skills. He's more of a complete fighter than Mayweather in my opinion. Only thing Mayweather has over him is defensive skills that's about it. Maybe precision as well but not by much, and that's because he fights at a slower pace.

Pac has moved up in weight and has dominated everything thrown at him in barbarian fashion and has fought better opponents than Floyd. He definitely deserves the #1 P4P spot.

yeah.....except he's talking about boxrec and boxrec is not based on opinions.

              it's based on numbers.

manny pacquiao shouldn't have been #2 in the 1st place.

He has beaten tough opposition since he moved up in weight.

Comments like this can be made for both fighters. Floyd beat an old mosley, bloated JMM etc...

Truth is that Pac faced better opposition, took larger risks and still dominated in great fashion.
