    Pac mans coming out party

in the spirit of the upcoming Vargas/Castillejo scrap, a buddie of mine let me borrow ODH/Cast. on the undercard manny p fought lehlo lebwama, and it got to the point that i almost had to mute the volume b/c of Merchant's and lampleys constant praising of lebwama, all thw hile he was getting drilled by manny p. and else ever seen this, and if so did it seem to you that they were really, really pulling for lebwama the whole fight?

YES. because they didn't know Manny Pacquiao exist that time. He was unknown to the American people because he fought most of his fights in the Philippines.

Thats exactly what is wrong with HBO. Just because they never heard of a guy they refuse to comment on him positvely. Call it like it is HBO's boy was getting blasted....Dont sugar coat it, this is boxing and not some ring around the rosey playground bull****.

One of the many reasons why I hate HBO.

haha ya.. it made me laugh when Pacquiao ktfo Ledwaba and the HBO commentators were shocked and they didnt know what to say. Larry also said that he never heard of Manny Pacquiao before and never seen him fight but he wants to see him fight again after the Ledwaba fight.

There's a clip of the same fight I have but it wasn't the HBO cast. Just 2 guys. One is well known, he used to be on HBO. Forgot his name but he sounds like a "wise guy", if you know what I mean. They too were surprised to see Pac winning each round. Yet, they still said "Pa-Kie-Yao" better be careful!

Then I saw the HBO version and only Foreman seemed to know exactly what was going on. "Pacquiao should just keep doing what he's doing! Don't box him, just FIGHT HIM!"

Actually the only one pulling for ledwaba was george forman haahh I am a huge fan of manny and that was the fight that made me a fan! Never seen this guy in my life took the fight on two weeks noticed and demolished a top tier boxer like he was a lil boy. I watched that fight many times and enjoy hearing lampley and merchant in aww of the filipino, and at the end merchant says something very prophetic "I dont know who he is never seen him before but I want to see him again" Larry merchant you can tell from that day on his favorite fighter is manny p, it is only obvious especially how at the end of his recent interview with Manny larry learned tagalog and said thank you and good bye I believe in filipino.......Have we ever heard him learn another langauge for other fighters? not me.

Larry did enjoy Pac's style. The kid never stops fighting and this give Larry Merchant more stuff to talk about, rather than make up stuff to talk about while he waits for action to pick up like from Hopkins, Marquez and Winky.

Well, they openly pulled for Kid Diamond when he fought Casamayor, because they wanted so badly a new star to promote...so it goes both ways.
