There is no pride in being a human punching bag. The beating he took will surely leave a serious scar on margs health and on his ability to do his job in later fights. Marg bashing aside, don't be fooled people, boxing is still a sport and a way to make a living to those involved in and around the ring. The promotors want you to think that these are gladiators and that they are willing to go out on their shields. That is the attitude that sells tickets and ppvs. So don't be fooled. You think it was pride or he had heart staying in there but it was not the smartest idea for his future or his familys. Marg needs to rest and/or retire because that beatdown was no joke you can easily recover from.

Tony was already done, he took serious beatings his last 4 fights. He's been taking hits to the face for the last 10 years of his boxing career. Margarito will always be remembered to me as a real warrior who went to the ring and would rather die then quit.

I applaud Tonys legendary career and it'll be a couple years until we see another beast like Tony.

Tony always gave his fans there moneys worth for fights, he never ripped off his fans with a boring fight. He would ALWAYS take the fight to his opponent.

Correct, the smartest and easiest way out a fight is to quit. What you people fail to realize a real man who comes and brings it ALL to the ring will not quit. Tony made it clear he would rather die in the ring then quit, he kept his word to his people and haters.
