Of these 15 catchweight bouts that occurred for title fights, which are your 10 favorite catchweight bout?
There are 15 bouts, all of the fights are for title fights except Mayweather vs Marquez.
Please rank them in order of your favorite catchweights in history! Please only select your top 10, meaning 5 will be left out, Thanks! :-)
Julio Cesar Chavez vs Pernell Whitaker (145 catch-weight for W.W title)
Jimmy McLarnin vs Pancho Villa (114 catchweight but McLarnin came in overweight at 122)
Joe Gans vs Joe Walcott (138 pound catchweight)
Henry Maske vs ****** Hill (190 catchweight)
Bernard Hopkins vs Oscar De La hoya (158 catchweight)
Jose Luis Castillo vs Diego Corrales (both fighters agreed to make 135 but no one can weigh more than 147 on fight night)
Fernando Vargas vs Ricardo Mayorga (162 catchweight)
Roy Jones Jr. vs Felix Trinidad (170 catchweight)
Miguel Cotto vs Manny Pacquiao (145 catchweight)
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez (144 catchweight, Mayweather came in overwheight at 146) (This is a non title bout but I added it anyways because prior to retirement, Floyd was the lineal W.W champ)
Paulie Ayala vs Johnny Tapia (124 catchweight)
Terry Norris vs Meldrick Taylor (150 1/2 catchweight)
Henry Armstrong vs Law Jenkis (140 catchweight, for a Welterweight Bout! )
Emile Griffith vs Dave Charnley (148 catchweight)
Sugar Ray Leonard vs Donny Lalonde (168 catchweight)
Quick reply to this message
Catch weight is done to level the playing field. To make it even and fair. If you hate on pac hate on these great fighters as well. =P
thanx for the boxing history lesson...cheers!

When Manny submits to testing he will get stopped by PBF guaranteed.
At the end of the day, Manny didn't refuse to fight Margo even without any pre-fight drug testing. Floyd did refuse even though Manny would get tested pre-fight!!!
Also, when Roach complained about Margo's beard, Manny said, it's OK, I will just use it as a target!
Roach complained last night but Manny still fought Margo!Last edited by ADP02; 11-15-2010, 12:28 AM.

Manny destroyed Cotto who beat a better version of Mosley. So according to your theory, the ball should be in Manny's court.

PBF can't take a fight without being called a ducker. EVER !!!!!!!!
If he does fight he must sign the contract and fight Pac.
He must get off the lame excuse of the drug tests, Pac took one last nite and evidently passed !!
Mayweather is getting older himself while on the sidelines watching Pac fight tough guys.
Pac just fought a man that came in Great shape, the same man that was ko'd by the man mayweather beat BUT if you will be honest, the Margo that fought Mosley was a shell. HE looked horrible, he just lost 30-40 pounds in 6 weeks, all his fault but nevertheless its what it is. I would love to have seen a fight with this Margo against both Mosley and Mayweather.
This Margo that fought Pac would have had no problems KOing Jr. I don't know if he could have KO'd Mosley but he would have Jr. He would have made Jr. either go down bad or Jr. would have jumped the ring messing his pants all the way to the dressing room.
The Pac that fought last nite would take care of the Mayweather that fought Mosley in about 4-5 rounds and it would be a Hatton all over again.
How do yall say it , hmmmmm,, lets see, "All roads lead to Pacman now" , right ?
this dude said the margirito from sat night would have koed floyd lmaooooooooooooo
