Now both are great fighters, in the ring, there is no question that they are ATG's, unless you're a hater of boxing, then go and watch some UFC you **** suckers. Even if you're a ******* or *****, you have to show both respect.
Anyway this is my opinion on the fight, if it ever gets made, and I really do hope it gets made, it would be great for boxing to show off the two best fighters with totally opposite styles.
Pac wins by KO in round 9. Joke
Okay, well both have great physical attributes as boxers.
The main issue is speed.
Speed in boxing is like having slick tyres on a racing car or a 12 inch **** for a **** film. With it, you can do great things, and both are damn fast. There are some who are perhaps faster in the boxing world, but I would not say they can hit the target as these two guys.
They both use speed in different ways. Pac likes to confuse his opponents and hit them at all angles, and especailly when he hits them once or twice and gets them to cover up. Infact he loves it when they cover up so he can pick a spot to hit.
Pac has speed, and his combination speed, althoguh slower at the higher weights, is more accurate IMO. He can dazzle you and also has pop in his shots. He can pot shot and dance around aswell and hit you again.
Floyd has speed too, both came up from lower weights where so many have damn quick hands. Floyd can make you weight out of your range, and pop a nice jab to the body, or that right hand straight. His work in that pocket is amazing, standing there and waiting to counter.
For me, it is going to be very interesting what type of speed will overcome the other.
Will Pac's sotuhpaw stance, angles, footwork and combinations out work Floyd? Will Floyd's use his defence, boxing generalship and legs to pot shot and hold Pac off in the centre?
Now to their best attributes. Pac's offense and Floyd's defence. Don't get me wrong, Pac has a very underrated defence, and Floyd an offense. But their best is the first bit in question.
If you want a fighter that is so offensively minded, then Pac is a fighter you would want. The man has great stamina and output, but he comes at you with smart movement and angles. He can throw five punches while you may get off on just two. He has the speed, and the power to sting, those shots hurt, even if they don't send you down and out.
Then Floyd's defence, he really uses his reach, and reactions so well, and with the best eyes in boxing, he reads shots coming. He is always on his toes ready to attack and defend, or both. He can make anyone world class look amatuer. Missing shots makes people tired aswell, and later in the rounds, Floyd's physical condition and class shows up.
Power, well power goes to Pac IMO. Both have pop, but Floyd has hands issues, and his style does not encourage a KO, while Pac's style works and breaks down fighters. Will it be an issue in this fight?
I think slightly on the scorecards because a more thunderous puncher will likely get a close round.
Stamina, this for me is what makes these guys above anyone else. They work so hard that in the gym, and at prize fighting level, this **** makes a huge difference. If anyone does boxing, they will know that punching takes your breathe away, but also getting hit, and then tiring makes you get hit and hurt even more. Both these guys train harder than anybody, and both have equal amounts of stamina for me.
Trainers. Well, Roach has a lot of experience, and so do both Mayweather's. All ex boxers, but the most important thing is how much they care for their fighters.
Roach seems to really love Pac, and obviously the Maywetaher's are blood. They even have Buboy and Ellerbe who are quite attached too. No ****.
The relationship the trainers have makes the training camp even better IMO. When you have the best fighters and trainers together, great things happen. The padwork for both looks really good to watch and they have that understanding.
Accuracy
Well, both have very accurate hands, Floyd maybe has the better %, but Pac overcomes that, or atleast misses by throwing so many shots. They can hit you with both hands.
Chin will not be questioned. Both an take a punch at 147. Pac may get cut up and brusied however. I don't think this will make any difference in the fight.
Ring generalship. Both know how to use the ring, and when. Both have excellent ability to control a fight. I would say that Pac loses concentration and wants to invite and make a war at times, and stays on the ropes. This is not a good way to fight all the time, but Pac does emphasise making the spectacle for the fans. Maybe he will take it serious VS Floyd, who will give him a hell of a test.
Over all, I'll give Floyd this, on the fact that he is more measured, if slightly less eye pleasing.
Heart Both have it, and Floyd rarely gets hit, but he showed it VS Mosley. Pac will get hit because he fights like a warrior so often. Both will have moments where they will get buzzed and will come back. Pac comes back when hit, and Floyd will too it seems now.
Athleticism and body. Both have good area and bad. Floyd has the height, reach and maybe potshot speed. He has a toned up body with great reactions and footspeed. His body is really good for boxing, but his hands being brittle is a downside.
Pac has strong muscles in his calves that generate power and spring. He bounces a lot and darts in and out, he has good reactions and very fast hands. He has a very toned up body and uses it well to find the target.
Both have thier plus points.
Experience Well both have fought some great names and fighters. Both have big PPV's and fought on the big stage. Both of these guys won't suffer from nerves, and have won so many belts and championships. Definitely two of the biggest fighters right now. I don't see much difference here.
For me, I really can not pick out a winner, and forgive me if I have said anything wrong. I really would love to see this fight, and if it is made, and is exciting, then I, as with all of you boxing fans, will be the winner.
Anyway this is my opinion on the fight, if it ever gets made, and I really do hope it gets made, it would be great for boxing to show off the two best fighters with totally opposite styles.
