Can Peter beat the Byrd of today? Or is he just to wild and crazy and will get countered and frustrated by a past prime, but still slick Byrd

I think your right, but Wlad dropped Fritz Sdunek just before the Sanders fight. He had another trainer for that fight and then hired Sterward. I think it was Roach.

Wlad's problems started when he stopped being trained by Sdunek

I don't Know if Peter could actually connect a punch on Byrd, even today.

There is no way Peter can beat Byrd. Peter needs to be a lot faster, like Ibebuchi and Wlad, to repeatedly KD or KO Byrd.

Peter has no chance to beat Byrd on points.

This is not clear yet. I think we have to see Wlad-Peter to make the conclusion.

Wlad's defense is his weakest side, and I hope Stewart has worked on it.

Wlad with a (much) improved defense is what we need at the moment.

I agree, and he needs to learn what to do if he gets hurt

                Another question.
If Peter develops a jab and not just throw it to throw it, but throws it to set up power shots, how dangerous could he become?

Sam Peter has displayed great punching power, and that's it. He hasn't fought anyone yet but should have a punchers chance against anyone in the division. I haven't seen him fight much, but from what I've seen and read, He needs to develope every aspect of his game.

Wlad is barely a top ten guy in my book let alone the best by far if he beats Peter which I don't think he will personally, then he is a contender again.

He needs a fast, crisp jab, which he might develop. In this case Peter will become as dangerous as Rahman.

Currently, Peter is like Rahman without jab, but Rahman's skill level is not that great. Peter, on the other hand, has had a good amateur career and might be able to reach a better skill level in a couple of years.

I would think Peter in his prime will be better than Rahman, but not becasue of improved jabbing.
