Comments Thread For: Bradley: Pacquiao Will Whoop Margarito's Ass, Maybe in 3

I've done my homework and, unless Margarito is shot, there is no way it ends in the first half of the fight. Ridiculous prediction by Bradley.
People think it will be target practice for Pacquiao and that he won't get touched in return. You are wrong on both accounts, Margarito has better defense against southpaws and his countering ability goes up a notch too. Pacquiao's incredibly fast and all, but he's an offensive marvel, not a defensive wizard. Margarito will not just sit there covering up under attack, he'll either counter righ tthere and then or right after the flurry is over, but he'll get his shots off and land them.
Watch how Margartio parries a Pacquiao punch and counters to the body tonight, it might hurt or stun Pacquiao right there and then or just wear him down for the rest of the fight, but it will land and it will do damage. The most important part is how much damage the accumulated shots will do. If they take Pacquiao's legs, this will be a phone booth fire fight where Pacquiao will lose.Since when has Mosley been a southpaw?
Other than that, there were different things Mosley did that Pacquiao won't be able to do like clinching and pushing Margarito back to tire him out. I already talked about this before, so I won't keep dwelling on it.
I'm not praying for ****, you'll see just watch and learn.Comment

David diaz and many others with less ability than Margarito lasted longer than 3 rounds. So i expect it to go to the later rounds.Comment

That fight tells you nothing. For one thing he had just been caught trying to cheat and therefore couldn't possibly have been focussed. And for another, he wasn't in shape and had to lose more than 30lb in training camp.
In any case, Mosley isn't a southpaw, and QUELOQUE's analysis was based on when he fights southpaws.
And although he may well have cheated against Cotto and Cintron in the rematch (although there's no proof of that), it's extremely unlikely that it went further back than that, and yet he had enough power and ability to hurt Williams when they fought. The amount he hit Williams, he would have done a lot more damage than he did if he'd been using plaster back then. Williams wasn't really marked up after that fight, which he would have been if he'd been hit with plaster, but he did get rocked.Last edited by Dave Rado; 11-13-2010, 08:14 PM.Comment

You make Margarito out to be this incredibily adept boxer - it doesn't matter if he fights righties or lefties - he fights one way - pressure and punches. That fight tells you nothing. For one thing he had just been caught trying to cheat and therefore couldn't possibly have been focussed. And for another, he wasn't in shape and had to lose more than 30lb in training camp.

Bottomline - PAC BEAT THAT ASS and Margarito didn't have to lose 30lbs or get caught with illegal pads, etc. so I should hear no excuses...Comment
