No, it certainly didn't help the card. Pavlik V Vera was going to be the best fight on it. Rios V some bum will be okay but it won't be a better fight.

I like Pavlic and I thought Pavlic/Vera was going to be good.

However I have no room for sadness at this moment.

I wasn't thinking it helped from a quality of fight stand point, but rather from the controversy. I think it helped market the fight to non-boxing or less than die-hard fans.
