Interesting fact about Vargas-Castillejo fight

On Saturday night, former two time junior middleweight champion Fernando Vargas will face Javier Castillejo in a ten round junior middleweight contest, not a twelve round championship eliminator to become mandatory challenger to newly crowned WBC champion Ricardo Mayorga.

thought this was pretty interesting.. do you think having minus two rounds will have an effect on the fight?

It may Castillejo is like 37 years old the extra 2 rounds could have benefited Vargas but I guess we will never know unless someone gets KOed.

Vargas cried, whined, and bitched (and is now SUING) the WBC because he doesn't want the fight to be for the interim title, because Vargas is avoiding the fight with Mayorga that would follow if Vargas beats Javier.

Vargas knows he is not what he used to be, which is why he's scared. He will never be a champ again.

Two less rounds favors Vargas. He doesn't have great stamina.....& that's two less rounds for him to worry about getting that questionable jaw tested.

If Mayorga fights Vargas like he fought Picirollo, Vargas should easily win by just boxing. He did that to Quartey, he can do that again. Mayorga telegraphed his overhand rights like he was in a movie. Stick and move, tie up Mayorga, easy UD for Vargas.

But his jaw is very very questionable now since it got gang ****** by Trinidad, Rivera and Hoya. Mayorga will go head hunting like it was a pinata.
