Wanting another year is just a figure of speach, 2006 is another year, it doesnt mean a full year away, it just means Hatton wants it in 2006. That pretty much answers your 2nd question, i dont think Hatton would fight Mayweather in 2005, although i think Hatton will win its partly because i know that Hatton will do things right, i know he'll go to the gym all day, come home eat correctly and watch Mayweather fights until he falls alseep, he'll do that for about 4months before he considers himself ready. Hatton is the type of person to always play his abilitys down and never think he's good enough, he so down the earth its weird for a fighter, thats why he thinks he needs a huge training camp.

Hatton is a clever fighter, you know by listening to his coach that he is clever, they both know Mayweather is above elite level, he has the ability to be an all time great so they wont underestimate him by taking the fight without a huge training camp. Mayweather knows this too, he's clever enough to know Hatton wont accept the fight so soon, so he's probably only offering the fight in 2005 because he knows Hatton wont take it. He cant be dumb enough to think there is enough time this year to set up a fight that big, its all show with Mayweather, he doesnt mean half of the things he says.

I'm not spinning anything, you just dont have a clue about psychology!! Mayweather talks a lot of ****, he says things he doesnt mean so he looks better to the media and the average fan like you. I'm not saying Mayweather is ducking Hatton because i dont think that, i'm only saying that Mayweather is clever enough to use situations to his advantage. If more people get behind Mayweather because they think Hattons putting the fight off, then the more money he will get. Its quite simple, Mayweather isnt a walking ego for nothing, its part of a clever business plan.

If the deal was made the fight could happen in Decemeber 2005 but it isnt made, they will take months to make that fight because of all the location and money talks, especially when Mayweather seems set on a fight with Judah. It took months for the Tszyu fight and he hasnt got a super sized ego!!

Hatton doesnt need 4 months to prep for Mayweather but like i said Hatton plays down his own abilitys in his own head, he likes to have a long time to get himself ready for a fight as huge as Mayweather. Mentally Hatton needs 4 months for the prep but Physically he only needs 3months. Your right by saying he shouldnt need that long but i'm saying he'll think he needs that long.
