Manny should have tried harder.... 144?

marg did what he had to do, he made 150. I know thats the max, but atleast he made it.
Manny made the choice to come it lite for speed, Marg did'nt have that loop hole.
Marg looks like he busted his azz for 150, Manny is a WW and choosing to stop before it affected his body. And Marg killed himself to make the crontracted weight.
It's bad enough it's for a belt, but he did'nt even make JMW min.

Ps, For all those who argue this.............

    WW- min-141 1/2- max 147
    JMW-min-147 1/2- max 154
    MW- min-154 1/2- max 160.....

but IMO Marg loses at 54 anyway, It's just BS to me...

So that shows me that there is a min weight you can weigh, and Pac missed it by 2 pounds. "It's only 2 pounds"
I'ts all pretty open ended as far as the contract and weight stuff, but I just think it's BS how they bend the rules like that.

Shyt, even FLoyd did'nt as Oscar to come down, he went up...Offically

See Pull's thread there is no minimum weight limit, he could have came in at 139.9 and he is well with in the rules of boxing. Can't force a natural LW to gain more weight than his body is meant to hold.

Trust me, I know the rules. But it's all unspoken, 150 is Max, I understand that...
All I'm saying is it's a belt on the line.

And why were Team Pac so amped about being able to make 150...... I'm sure they tried, but that's messed up to have a guy drain, and you stop where you'rebest... That's all I'm saying

Cixthree really how many trolling threads are you going to make?

Are you not a real boxing fan or what is the deal?

wow, I've never seen so much complaints about someone being so much LIGHTER than their opponent! this is crazy.

Pac didn't have to make 150, 150 is simply the max. As pointed out, there is no min weight. Pac is giving a 5.5 pound advantage to margarito, that is very significant, especially being that margs will probably weigh around 164 and Pac will be around 147.

How is Marg drained? He has been fighting at WW for years and had 1 fight after a long lay off at SWW, he won't be compromised at all not that it would have mattered because he is too slow and has no defense at all.

I will state again that the only minimum weight limit in boxing is the max weight limit of the minimum weight class(105lbs).

That's pretty much how I understand it as well. The only true minimum limit is the entry level (lower spectrum) of, what was it, Strawweight?

I remember in a recent interview Pacquiao stating that he had to load his shorts on his first professional fight in order to make the bare minimum or he would not be allowed to fight.

If he wants to give an advantage like that, then that's his prerogative.
